Wow, it's a fairly well-done caramel-patchouli frag, with a fair bit of notes smoithing it out in the background. Usually I wouldn't be into frags like LVEB or Flowerbomb or anything the likes..this is a bit of that sweetness, but better. This IS actually sexy and more natural smelling thany any sweet vanilla-fruitchoulies. I've no idea about longevity here, I only tested it.. But it left a lasting impression on me. Considering getting it now.

Anywho

Orissima is not of the shy sort, to say the least; she is right in your face at first spray, and even though she concedes some territory after about 10 minutes or so, she stubbornly holds holds her ground thereafter for quite some time. So, projection is not bad at all and staying power on clothes is very good. On first whiff I thought I am dealing with Tocade Rochas’ twin sister. Orissima gives off a similar vibe (albeit with different notes) as TR in that both have a rather metallic aspect that translates into a certain cool, artificial vibe that is very well done here (as in TR) since it doesn’t veer off into Plastic Land territory. Where Tocade stays linear throughout to my nose, though, Orissima changes after the initial blast somewhat. The sweeter notes give way a little to an aquatic component (bamboo leaf?) that doesn’t quite take the
lead, but mingles nicely with the other ingredients in a melange of notes that is very well blended; from this point the scent stays linear until the sweetness recedes a little more, giving the aquatic note a bit more prominence. Normally I am not a big fan of aquatic notes in scents, but here it might be the reason that keeps Orissima from crossing into cloyingly sweet territory. It just works. I have worn it several times now and I am impressed how nicely this scent performs. She might be one of those fragrances that need to be worn over time to fully appreciate them. Sofia by Sofia Vergara is another one hat took her time to grow on me, but now I am glad she is part of my collection.

I have to see how Orissima performs in the cold months now (we are approaching winter where I live), but can imagine it definitely blooming in the warmer months similar to Tocade…let’s see what happens. So far, it’s a big like for me

LadyMuck

This is a very potent peachy/orange blossom fragrance with good staying power.

Bit sparkly but it doesn't seem to quiet down at all, and the top notes really hang in there.

I was hoping it would mellow and let the caramel shine through, but it didn't on me unfortunately all I kept getting is a loud peach waft. 4/10

Very “adult” and office friendly. But still, low key sexy.

Not nearly as gourmand as one might think.

Beautiful and surprisingly light… even somewhat aquatic. (Edit to say, this lasts phenomenally well. I am amazed. The fragrance isn’t bombastic but actually rather rather diffusive… an elegant radiation goes on and on for 12 hours, but never harsh. Sorta of the same way HP projects, though they are not at all dupes)

It’s a very pretty perfume however I am disappointed that it is so light. I believe it lasts reasonably well on skin, but I don’t notice much projection.

There really is an almost minty facet to this, or as another here said, “noxema” thing (do they even make noxema anymore?!) going on here. I don’t enjoy it, but I only notice it when I overspray (in my effort to smell this on my myself better I oversprayed, and that was a mistake).

Patchouli isn’t aggressive here at all.

This smells to me like peaches, and dusty caramel… with something tropical or aquatic (maybe bamboo?) carrying the entire composition….

I also suspect this probably projects best in heat.

I was going to give this away (blind buy) but now that I’ve been testing it for a week I have decided I actually really enjoy it.

I sprayed one of my satin hair scrunchies generously several days ago and smell it often to get to know this scent better.

Theres a romantic and quite sexy dusty thing going on. Maybe iris. Makeup powder.
I probably would not have bought this had I smelled it first but I’ve come to enjoy it, anyway. It wasn’t what I expected. I expected a deep, strong, winter scent.
That’s not what this is.
Still, very pretty.

Update: lasting power is amazingly long, and it does project much better than I initially realized. Not a beast but good enough. A beastly powder puff, maybe.
Also much less aquatic than I thought at first.

Now I understand that this is an all year round fragrance.

My mother thinks it smells exceedingly sweet and most appropriate for a baby shower or wedding, interestingly.

Sweet powder, I believe, is how she’s smelling this.

A very sexy and very French type of scent. Good quality. But, not a favorite, and I am seriously considering gifting it to my sister, still.

UPDATE:

I’ve decided to keep it. I actually enjoy sometimes using it to layer with My Burberry Black. Both are peach, caramel-ish, patchouli fragrances, and I really enjoy the way they compliment eachother.

Caramelized peach toffee crunch. Very yummy, the fruity-floral aspect is much stronger in this than LVEB.
Leaves a scent trail, lasts all day (12+ hrs). Perfect for autumn or winter, I'd be interested in trying this for spring as well, just to see how it wears with a bit of heat.
Definitely worth trying.

Wow! A good buy. Not expensiev and really nice.

I can smell the peach very well and it's a powdery scent.
Fresh and great for a summer day.

Ohh Orissima!! Beautiful name for a beautiful scent. I bought this quite literally as a totally blind buy trial, I don’t really even know what it was that pushed me to go for it, I think simply that I liked the name, the look of the bottle and the notes of grapefruit and bamboo leaf intrigued me! The price was super cheap I paid £15 for 100ml, and I wasn’t expecting a lot. At the moment I have become quite addicted to trialling different things as I try to work out what my absolute favourite scents are. I’ve found perfume buying and trialling therapeutic ❤️.

Orissima for me has been a huge success! From
The moment I received it I loved the textured white card and gold box, and the shape of the bottle feels great solid and lovely chic simplicity. I absolutely love this scent!! It’s gorgeous sweet caramel, with soft fruity, a patchouli edge and I get a slight saltiness too! Something about this I find so sexy and also classy, cozy and delicious all at once! Initially spraying I’m in heaven, no alcohol here, it fills the room without being overly perfume-y (if that even makes sense) and I can overspray without it being overpowering. Whilst wearing it for the first few hours I get whiffs of this lovely sexy salty caramel, so I think the projection is pretty good, and later on it settles as a skin scent where I can’t stop sniffing myself!! I hope this will be a complimented scent but yet to try it out, out in the world and my husband could not care less for different scent he says everything smells nice! I literally had to go and buy another bottle of this before I wrote my review 😂🙈 because this doesn’t seem to be sold barely anywhere and I’m scared I will never get again, so I’ve bought a backup 100ml already a week after I got the first 🙈. ❤️❤️❤️

OHH also… I recently discovered azzaro wanted girl which I also LOVE, and although these are not that close initially - several hours later on the drydown testing both on my skin, one on each arm, I have found them very similar and love both!

I've been wanting to get a bottle of this so bad (it will be a blind buy) and I just realized that many of the notes of Orissima are the same as Shalimar Initial. I haven't smelled either and I know that I DEFINITELY can't afford Initial at the moment but maybe Orissima could do the trick for now? Does anyone have any feedback?

Jasmindee

I am starting to think I am anosmic to caramel notes in certain perfumes because this doesn't smell sweet or delicious to me at all.

I've had to curb my perfume addiction recently as my partner and I are buying our first home together, so after much deliberation, I bought this bottle on a whim as a 'congratulations' to myself after I landed my dream job, and I'm sadly really disappointed. I don't think this perfume is horrible by any means, but I read all the glowing reviews and I can't help but sniff my wrist and sigh.

The opening spray is peach, patchouli and screechy grapefruit. It instantly reminded me of the demure, more mature cousin of Gucci Rush, or a dustier, powdery version of Prada Candy. I don't get much warm caramel, maybe the tiniest hint of it with a musky drydown.

Yes, this perfume is classy and lovely. I'm sure it would suit a lady in a white blouse and pencil skirt in an office, but that wasn't really the vibe I was hoping for. I wanted edible caramel, sweet peach and more, but honestly? This perfume is pretty flat to me. I really wanted to love Orissima so much, but it just doesn't fit my personality or aesthetic. The price is brilliant for the size of the bottle (I think I paid around £20) while the look of the bottle is fine. Nothing beautiful or showstopping, but nice in its simplicity. It looks sorta' vintage and that pretty much sums up how it smells on me as well. Nice, elegant and mature, but not show-stopping or compliment worthy.

Boyfriend's verdit: *Shrugs* Smells like my old auntie.

I'll be selling my bottle on.

Edit: I sold this on to a close friend of mine and she absolutely loves this perfume and it smells great on her! Like fizzy peach champagne and sweet caramel. I guess it just didn't suit me, but I'm so happy she loves it.

Pricosor_1

It's sweet sweet caramel. I would literaly eat it. I also feel the citrusy side - maybe this is why it is compared to LVEB. Still, it wouldn't be a comparaison i would make. They are very different in class and style. Then it becomes powdery a bit, but caramel stays all the way on my skin. It not my tipe of parfume but still, i really love it.
Too bad longevity is not great on me: after 3-4 hours i can barely feel it there.

middle25

I agree with another reviewer that this should be categorized as a floral-fruity gourmand. For me, it starts out with the warm and juicy peaches mixing with the golden caramel. This lasts for a while and then the iris (which adds just a tiny bit of powder) and orange blossom mix in. At that point, it becomes mostly orange blossom with a base of caramel and a bit of patchouli, not too strong. It lasts on me into the next day, even longer on my clothing. The sillage is moderate and it is feminine to my nose. What a gorgeous, classic-type perfume! Easily could be a signature scent. Very versatile. This was a great blind buy and I'm quite happy with it.

Beautiful

For the price its pure gold.

Proves that its not always about price. Spoil yourself or loved one.

hfigures

Wow this is stunning. Blind buy. I have La Vie Est Belle Intense so I can't compare. It is fruity IMO and did not think this is Chypre Floral. I was thinking floral fruity gourmand. But what do I know?

juniemoon

I'm wearing this right now and the peach and caramel are making sweet love on my skin. This is so swoon worthy. Another affordable yet luxurious smelling hit from the TL house.

ILikeToSmellNice

If you're looking for a sophisticated fruity fragrance, this is it! It's smells like a classy woman who knows how to have fun.

The fruit here is beautifully rich and warm, deepened by the caramel. Truly classy and refined fruity.

Even better than the scent itself is the longevity. Oh my, this is the beast. I used 2 sprays on my neck and 1 on my hair and it lasted over 24 hrs. For softer sillage I recommend spraying in the air in front of you and walk into it. This fragrance has truly wowed me.

bjer-don

Just wanted to mention, that out of my 30 years of wearing perfume, this is the ONLY bottle i have ever emptied! Every other scent I've owned, i tired of or got bored and gave away nearly half full. Not this one! I actually bought backups of this.

bjer-don

Peaches and caramel. Its good, but not what i was expecting. Longevity and silage are fantastic though! It reminds me of the original Burberry.

Its got just enough floral poking through to keep it from smelling too childish.

gtabasso

starts gourmand with lots of vanilla and tonka that are carmelized then some florals become noticeable and an almost minty aspect maybe from the patchouli; intense orange blossom, some peony, a dash of ripe peach and musk; this is very very sweet in a fruity floral gourmand commanding Lapidus way; love it for cold weather. As it dries down, the sweetness reins in a bit, a dry patchouli and more fermented peach take over.

Cassiano

Orissima was launched in 2016 and had, as a creative concept, to represent the grace of the Parisian woman through a fragrance that pays homage to Paris.
At the time of the release, the perfumer Alexandra Monet said: "I conceived this fragrance as an ode to the Parisian woman. The idea was to paint a multifaceted woman through the senses".

The bottle, created by Marc Touati, combines interconnected geometric shapes, in which the base is a square and the top an octagon. It was inspired by the architecture of the city, representing the different facets of this sophisticated woman.

Orissima has notes of peach, grapefruit and bamboo leaves, which open the way for notes of orange blossom, iris and peony and depart to a sweeter background with notes of caramel, musk, and patchouli. It is a fragrance classified as chypre-floral and follows the style of the chypres of the last decade, which left aside the dated and almost sour aspect that the fragrances of this group used to bring, thanks to the notes of bergamot and moss. Now, this type of perfume continues to make the contrast between hot and cold notes, but it has modernized. For many, the new chypre overlooked the quality and the traditional style. For the industry, it represented a change that had to happen, sooner or later.

In my opinion, the perfumes of this olfactory family usually convey elegance without extravagance. It is chic in its various forms: sometimes intense, sometimes delicate. In the case of Orissima, I think there is a multiplication of categories in a single fragrance: it is chypre, but it is also floral, fruity and almost gourmand.

The output is juicy and sensual. The grapefruit and the peach form a fruity nectar, which conquers and guarantees what we call immediate sale. Then, Orissima brings a floral luminosity, full of fresh nuances. And for those who were scared by knowing about the presence of the iris note, just relax, because it is almost imperceptible.
Over time, the caramel appears and shows itself as the real secret of the fragrance, giving a more jovial and addictive air. And even being put next to the patchouli, it was not worked to bring that sweet smell of burnt sugar, so common in the most recent feminine fragrances.

On the one hand, I think the caramel did away with the elegance of the fragrance and brought a teenage facet, totally unnecessary. On the other hand, I think it added a certain versatility and undoubtedly extended the duration on the skin. Although it seems contradictory, the advantage is that it loses potency in a short time, getting closer to the skin and exuding sensuality, without sickening the wearer. The lasting is worthy of the brand and lasts more than eight hours, although I encourage a reapplication in the middle of the journey because the output is delicious!

In the end, Orissima seems to add the values that the other brands try, through countless flankers, every year. It is the chypre, for those who never understood the Chypres; is the gourmand, for who has never liked sweet perfumes. I suggest experimenting!

AcerSaccharum

The first spray is bright and warm, like inhaling deeply over a sunny bowl full of ripe citrus fruit. The drydown is soft and not overly sweet but very definitely conveys caramel. Lasting power and sillage are moderate but not overwhelming. Can't wait to use this in deep winter, when it will provide some much-needed sunshine.

juniemoon

Oooh-eee I so want this, I loovve Ted Lapidus frags. I am such a fan I want ALL of them. I just found this on fragrancenet and ordering it today. I don't know how TL house makes such great fragrances for such low prices but I just hope they keep them coming!

Edit - just sent my my order now, can't wait to get my bottle. Will come back with my review.

perfumeglam87

One word SWEET! This is beautiful & elegant! Every female should own this in her collection. If giorgio armani si or lveb had a baby with prada candy this would be it. Only the sweetness is mature like the caramel in prada candy. Last all day!

MikiRae

I tested this today and thought wow! It reminds me of something. Just got it - Escada Magnetism. However this only last for the first hour. After that it has a beautiful floral, caramel dry down. Not too sweet. Like all my TL fragrances longevity is very good. Sillage is moderate on me. It's a good fragrance. Just a note though, this is NOT a "fresh" scent at all! It is heavy in the beginning then it lightens up but at no stage could it be considered fresh! On me anyway.
