Birch essence is a part of the "leather accord" in certain type of perfumes to mimic leather. Francois Demachy used this same leather accord in Cuir Cannage the same year (2014) but in there the leather is much more pronounced as the name implies.

Launched in France in early August 2014, so the fragrance will be turning 10 this summer and it's still as impressive as ever.
I bought my first bottle December the same year.
How many times over these past 10 years I've been fearing they would discontinue or reformulate this fragrance for worse, but it's still here in its royal form.
Maybe this fragrance is Mr. Demachy's Magnum Opus, maybe even (among) the Dior's very best tragrances for men. And then there will always be these people who will never give Mr. Demachy the full credit as he only created a flanker of an existing fragrance made by someone else. Unfortunately I have no idea how easy it must be to make a mere flanker.
But at the end of the day, what does it really matter when a fragrance is so good that you want to keep buying it even though you're not a rich person and have to consider every cent you spend every day.
Even if only for Dior Homme Parfum, Mr. Francois Demachy will forever be my absolute favorite perfumer of the modern times.

I own niche perfumes costing over $1000 and I can tell you that this scent is EXTRAORDINARY!

The ingredients list smell nothing like what i'm smelling on my skin. I stopped trusting this non sense.

The perfume changes over time, and unveil an incredibly sexy, expensive, classy scent, I would say on the same level of sexiness of even better than Aventus or Hacivat.

Spicy, fresh, mature, sexy, deep, a smell which smells good from far and smells good from close too, not synthetic, cloying or headache inducing.

This compliments me when I wear a white shirt, italian pants and shoes and have a freshly done haircut and walking with one of my women in a nice beachfront restaurant.

Women absolutely love to smell it on my neck while i'm making love to them. This is a masterpiece and the price is cheap for this kind of godly juice! I would happily pay the same price as Aventus for this perfume!

This is the GOAT of designers. I am starting to get into more challenging niche perfumery and have only scratched the surface, but this can definetely be a niche scent. This is deep, rich, powdery, creamy, and woody. The iris blends so well with the ambrette and sandalwood, that is what is at the forefront to my nose. Behind the whole thing bringing this fragrance together is an absolutely beautiful yet subtle rose and oud blend in the background. After blind buying this I very quickly fell in love with this scent. This in my opinion puts DHI to shame, and in my opinion a lot of other designers as well. Did not know I would love the rose and oud this much. Gonna have to check out other rose and oud scents now, like MFK Oud Satin Mood.

Update:

I’ve changed my mind!
Initially I found this scent off putting due to its very lipsticky iris note. I sprayed it on at the fragrance store and I felt awkward wearing it on the train an hour later… BUT, wait there’s more to this fragrance than that! For some reason I started to smell it off of the jacket I wore when I tested it and it was so intoxicating! I just wanted to smell it some more!
Well, I went back to another perfumery and tested it once again, this time on both my wrists. It felt so good to wear it this other time around, but it kept on sending this lipstick whiffs every now and then, and it both bothered me, and intrigued me to no end.
There’s something just so incredibly alluring about the creamy iris… Anyways, The third time I went to try it on I just reasoned that why don’t I just add it to my collection already and get it over with!

I’m not sure how often I’ll end up wearing it so I went for a 50ml bottle, but this one definitely has its rightful place in my collection as it’s something very different from what else is in there. It’s a real cozy and sexy scent to my nose and one I’ll wear every so often for my own sense of well-being. This stuff is VERY addictive so if you don’t care to smell like lipstick you should definitely stay away from this fragrance all together, cause if you try it on, chances are that you’ll be hooked. Resistance is futile…
Delicious, and creamy iris done in the most beautiful way. The iris really shines at the heart of this scent. A truly stunning and pretty thing by Dior ❤️

I read that through Dior officials there is birch bark as a middle note as opposed to the incorrect listing of rose on fragrantica. It might be factual as I don’t sense rose at all in this. The sandalwood at base is also Sri Lankan Sandalwood to be precise. Fragrantica should update these note listings.

2014 batch - more buttery iris & cocoa. Less leather
2021 batch - way more leather
2023 batch - less leather so more balanced and closer to 2014. It’s a little weaker in performance.

There’s a night and day difference for experienced noses between 2014 75ml bottles and 100ml onwards.

2021 and 2023 both have the same formula code.

Livio

@rombass I sent you a private message

kerolz

@rombass It’s still the same formula code for 2024 batches as formula codes from 2014 was.it needs maturation after few uses and thats it, after 6 months i cant feel difference from my early 2019 batch and 2023 batch

rombass

@Livio
So the formula code has had to change as well since it stayed the same from 2014 to at least 2020... Can you share the formula code please? It's on the box at the end of the ingredients lists line, should look something like No. 08642/A

Ralph01478

The Irish is just too much turning it into a talcum baby powder. If anyone stays in Kenya interested I can sell it for 150 bucks, 90% full and still in box

Upon the initial spary, I get DHI but the rose and leather really starts coming through right away. This is a very floral scent, much more floral than I had thought. It's also much sweeter than what I expected, leaving me with a drydown that is very similar to Valentino Uomo Intense but much more medicinal and syrupy. To be honest, I wanted to like this fragrance but the floral touch is too much for me personally. Interestingly enough, this would make a very memorable feminine fragrance and I think many women use it. It's extremely heavy in a good way, very sophisticated and dense, insane performance on this one.
For me, I would use DHI if I want the effect that I expected this fragrance to bring. This is not as powdery as the rest of the Dior Homme line, but if I was famous and went to an award show, this would 100% be the scent I'd apply. If you love iris scents, this might be a letdown, as I feel DHI has more of an iris-heavy smell, while this one only lets the iris shine in the opening in my experience. If I want something of this DNA, I would honestly go for Valentino Uomo Intense, because that one doesn't remind me of cough syrup as much as this one on the drydown.
Insane performance but I'm not buying a full bottle for a long time.
7/10 for me.

Livio

The leather note was toned down in the 2023 and 2024 batches

Almost 1 month update:

Genuinely in love with this scent. There is something so incredibly well done about it that it blows some niche fragrances out of the water. The quality is insane, and everything about it is just exceptional. The performance and longevity are amazing. Overall, I genuinely now understand why this is labeled as the best designer fragrance of all time. Rightly so.

Huss_aladdin27

Timeless!! In the fragrance hall of Fame the notes of orange iris and the leather is hypnotizing this is unisex but leans masculine...the projection longevity is incredibly strong highly recommend for colder weather this fragrance is a masterpiece 🔥

AmberNote

I just got a decant of this and I'm not a fan. To me, the dominant powdery iris note carries too much of a feminine lipstick/makeup vibe. Smells grandma. You do you but deal me out.

HermaeusMora13

It was an absolute nightmare to find and get this fragrance, but it was worth it. Not overrated at all. It is elegant, masculine, rugged, gentlemanly all at the same time. The main character is obviously the powdery, lipstick-y iris, but made a thousand times more masculine. I don't get why anyone would get DHI when this exists (Maybe apart from the fact that DHP is hard to come by.)

10/10

FrankSlade

Finally managed to get my hands on a bottle. Worn it a couple of times but I’m still not convinced that I really like it. It’s very heavy dense syrupy, I don’t get much leather at all unfortunately, on me I get a jammy dark rose with a nuclear powdery iris. There’s no light to balance it out imo, on me is just a syrupy darkness. I think I might prefer DHI better which is funny because I normal gravitates towards darker scents but this one is a bit too much. And it doesn’t smell natural, DHI smells way more natural.

I will keep trying see if is just the case of letting it macerate for a bit and it might open up a little bit more.

Lizabs68

I wear this beauty all year round and I get compliments every time, though I spray less in high heat.

Kwinks

My absolute favourite of all.

Max.muraski

The one designer to rule them all…

AllThatJaZZ

I did one spray... That's all it took to become a signature with 2 back up bottles 10/10.

Tacoscent

It’s a grower from my experience. I love the entire Dior homme line (Iris versions and cologne) and this is the most “special” of the bunch. The combination of leather with the Iris homme DNA gives a slight vintage feel to the scent, its bold and big with epic sillage.

I wouldn’t say it’s my most worn as it feels you need to be dressed accordingly but I find myself just having a spray at home often because I love the scent so much.

In short if you like iris it’s a no brainier, the more I wear it the more I love it.

alyce

Ranking the Dior Hommes I've tried:

1. Dior Homme Original [2021] (fresh yet sweet, round, clean iris— simple perfection)
2. Dior Homme Intense (almost vanillicish-pearish-round smell, nice but sort of generic and overpowering the iris, the most "feminine" of the three)
3. Dior Homme Parfum (biting cough syrup component, the leather isn't a great quality leather so maybe that's the issue, too much clouding the iris, clunky)

Dior Homme Original is the "weakest" of the three, but I'd rather re-spray and smell amazing than smell like the others more intensely/for longer. Fresh fragrances are almost always going to be less in your face, but I'm okay with embracing their fleeting nature, especially when they're as beautiful as Dior Homme Original.

I get that the parfum is the most sought after by far, so I guess I'm in the minority here!

Sanaisa

I totally get / understand this was created and designed for masculine leaning peopl. As a very feminine woman, this is my late Fall and Winter fragrance, layered under soft cashmere sweaters. I find it to be very unisex… I love the lipstick 💄 (iris) note… you instantly recognize it, as it will remind you of times digging into the bottom of a very worn leather purse, followed by the familiar aroma of pulling a lipstick out, taking off the cap, twisting it open and smelling it deeply. You **know** the smell and this captures it incredibly. Dusted by the darkest red rose. It is delectable. I would love smelling it on a delicious man but for now, I’ll have to enjoy it all by myself. :)~

MarkoK87

Grab a bottle guys as soon as you can, they will stop producing this masterpiece

livinglavidaloca

Ngl, it’s good, but not better than DHI. Too much rose and the iris is muted compared to DHI.

whiffthis

Just wanted to share one of the most beautiful triple layering combo I've ever smelled. Just working with similar notes.
It was a bottom layer of L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme Or Encens, mid layer of The One Mysterious Nights, and a top layer of Dior Homme Parfum.

All have rose and two of them have either labdanum, leather, sandalwood, oud, cedar and amber. Those notes amped up with their differences makes this one of the most amazing scents everyone should try if they have it. It's a powerhouse with monster projection and will last you throughout the day with just one spray of each. You will appreciate all three scents working together with none overpowering the other because they're all strong. Blended together, it's out of this world.

CamiBar&Beverages

My best fragrance of all time, and also, the one that makes me the saddest. Original formulation, 2014-2018, it was simply, the BEST PARFUM OF ALL TIME for me. Complex, unique, classy, deep, rich, it simply elevates your soul to a new real, but, the reformulation (bought one in sephora, not even close to the original), it's just not close enough, extremely sad. I don't think any day soon they're going to put the same quality of ingredients and in the same way they used to. Extremely sad, but happy and honored to have wear it in it's original idea.

LucretiaRocksAway

Rare occurance where fixing what ain't broke actually works out, I'd consider the intense a masterpiece, this takes that and elevates it and fills in the few gaps DHI has, the addition of leather and the soft oud takes that DNA and makes it more masculine and sophisticated.

Beautiful.

Frankie23

@blank25 the new 100ml bottles and old 75ml bottles are exact same formulation. Zero difference. Agree tho although I love the smell of the stuff, I barely ever want people actually thinking I’m smell like this..

Blank25

This is one of the few scents I would call “perfect”. I cherish my old formulation 75ml that I have. Yet, I have a hard time finding the right situation to wear it. It screams dressed in suit to me. Oh I almost forgot.. this fragrence is great to wear while fukin.

Glue

This was sort of a blind buy for me. Sampled the Intense version from a friend and I liked it so I assumed I will like this one even more based on the notes breakdown.
The opening is a bit boring to me, you can mainly smell the lipstick and leather. A bit disappointing, Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée has much better opening than this one. This one really shines in the drydown when the iris and leather tone down and you start smelling the lovely rose notes.
The performance is pretty good, I was expecting more based on the reviews but still ok. Sillage and projection are not very strong on my skin, I'd say moderate. But it does stay on my skin for a long time, it's been over 6 hours since I sprayed it and I still smell it just sitting at my desk.
Probably more suitable choice for formal occasions, evenings and dates but honestly I'll just wear it whenever I want to smell nice.
Not a safe buy, sample first. I do like it but it's not a love at first sniff.

mohammed_r37

If anyone knows release dates of this one or how to get please DM me 🙏

mohammed_r37

I really wanna buy this one but I can't find it anywhere 🥺🥺

Raul Claudiu

Yep it’s amazing and niche quality but honestly I see almost no resemblance to DHI.. what I find it surprisingly similar to is Roja Enigma (PC)..yes, but DHP is more wearable, you don’t have to be 60+ to pull it off.

Ferg1

Just sampled this one, so good man. But I prefer DHI to be honest. DHI is dirtier, sexier imo. DHP is niche quality and i decided to order a Full bottle, must have here.

Dom Positano

Possibly the best fragrance ever made. I was never a fan of the OG but this and DHI are truly incredible.

I bought a bottle of this in 2023 and I cannot understand people complaining about performance. This is stronger than most Amouages, stronger than Sauvage Elixir, stronger than most Manceras. There is no reformulation guys. My guess is you are going nose blind. One way I test for that is to use one spray rather than 4 which will give you nose blindness.

If this gets on your clothes, it will stay there for months.

This will turn heads. It smells like a classy bad boy. It is elegant and masculine. It's like nothing else out there.

BLUDZEN

Love at first smell. I never thought that the Homme line would get better than Intense but Parfum just takes everything that's good about Intense and boosts it on steroids. This is just an extremely gorgeous perfume that is a total beast! The waxy iris is super potent with the smooth undertones of the rose, variation of woods, leather and the orange in the opening. The dry down is absolutely phenomenal. Art in a bottle.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I blind bought this one lol

MrMrBrian

As long as I’ve had mine along with a lot of the similar’s out there I recently after thinking I needed a break a couple years ago from my whole Dior Homme line learned something after choosing for the first time in awhile to reach for this..& I’m not good enough, So won’t pretend to know what it is, Whether it’s the blend or a superior ingredient, But all the Givenchy’s in the world although good are not this! I either have or had or tried them all, But was reminded once again a few days ago who still reigns supreme!!

Yohanes27

Strong, Thick, Dense. Absolute room-filler and crazy long-lasting
Surprisingly different with Dior Homme Intense. DHI is softer, more lipsticky, and smoother for me. While DHP is more loud, way more leathery with a hint of rose and oud underneath. I'not a biggest fan of leather fragrance, and I'm not particularly drawn to rose & oud fragrance as well, but here I actually kinda like it.
Nevertheless, I would still prefer DHI because it is easier to use, more romantic, and in general more polite fragrance.

OlfactoryMaroon

Timeless smelling perfumery.
Main notes at play to my nose are the powdery iris contrasting the smooth suede type leather in the base. Can dress it up or dress it down.
Longevity is great and sillage is solid.

No longer suits my scent style so I’m selling my 2020 batch bottle around 75-80ml left.

laflame6

The greatest designer fragrance ever made

SmellyFoodie

Love DHI, hate this

ahmednaseri

This is gorgeousssss. I’m not an oud guy, but this is the only oud fragrance that love. Dior has the best men’s fragrances.

MartinParBi

Arrrrrrrgggg*%#
I bought it based on the hundreds of reviews, got it straight from DIOR WEBSITE, ones I got it smell it for the first time I really love it, I like it a lot !!
But all my friends and family members told me that I smell like a old lady or I smell like a women make up bag or I smell powdery or I smell like baby talco powder etc etc
What is it ? I get that the fragrance is for individual enjoyment but I can’t help to wonder why this other people can’t appreciate the scent even my mrs said to me that the DHP is a lady’s fragrance so she might as well wear it instead of me so I can avoid embarrassment lol
Anyway for the review purposes is a 10/10 for me

Scottio19

This is my number 1 fragrance out if my collection which is around 120 plus. I've never smelled anything as rich, dense or as high quality as DHP.

I have seen some people say its very much like DHI, this to me isn't the case at all...its a totally different animal. Its higher quality, deeper, longer lasting and smells far better than DHI. The only thing they have in common is the iris and that's it.

I have a bottle of a 75ml white around 20ml remaining and 2 bottles of the 100ml. The difference is very little to me, both smell the same and last the same amount of time on skin.

If you own DHI and feel you might not need this please do all you can to at least sample this, it's a level above.

BalkanFragranceLover

Got a bottle of the newest formulation that comes in a 100mL bottle.
2-3 days of wearing and comparing it to my 2017 DHI.
Side by side with DHI, Parfum is a less loud in the opening, the sweetness is toned down and it comes of more as a floral and woody, rather than sweet powdery like DHI.
On the drydown, Parfum leans significantly on the rose accord, and the Iris note is a lot less prominent.
While there is a hint of it, DHP is not a heavy leather fragrance at all, and the rose is much more prominent than leather or woods.
As far as performance goes - it depends on what a person is accustomed to i guess. People accustomed to middle-eastern style perfumery will be thoroughly unimpressed with what DHP has to offer in projection and staying power, but this is French perfumery, and is traditionally not as loud and pungent as the middle eastern ones.
So the "beast mode" hype this fragrance usually gets, will be a bit misleading to people who wear Amouage Interlude or something similar. It is not nearly in the same category. For a designer scent from a french house - more than ok, but still, not even close to Sauvage Elixir for example, which i would say is closer to middle eastern type than a classic French perfumery.
Is it redundant to own both DHP and DHI?
Well, not completely. DHI is louder, sweeter and brighter, and a lot more linear than DHP, which in turn is more toned down on the opening, and a bit more sophisticated on the drydown. But the differences are subtle, and the scent profiles are still, very similar, you could interchange between them on any occasion without second thoughts.
So my conclusion is, if you absolutely love the original style of the Dior Homme line, and money are not an issue (DHP is VERY rare online, and costs like 180 euro for the 100mL) yeah, absolutely get it.
If you have set budget and already own DHI, you can safely pass on DHP - it is too similar (while still having differences) and for that price i would say, go for your preferred niche house - you will get more from it.

Invasionbg

I don't know what you have done to your nose or what you used to wear before if you think that this doesn't perform. It last, it performs, it's interesting, it's original, it's deep ot has great quality... I can carry on like that all day long.

Opato

The impression from the opening notes is a perfect blend of leather and an incredible subtile, yet stout, freshness that perfectly evokes the authoritative expression that a lot of reviewers mention below.
In the mid, the oud-ish notes comes forward and mingles with whiffs of rose, iris and talcum. Eventually the leather subsides and the drydown settles with contrasting notes from the mid, with wood and a deeper oud impression.

I consider this an incredibly pleasant scent with very interesting contrasts that makes me curious. Yet it is not a bottle I would not seek out myself, since the talcum and oud combination is a too strong reminiscence with the lovely Arabic lady who ran the local grocery store where I lived ca. 1993. So for me, the opening impression morphs into a too feminine dry down.

Talcum is a note I personally avoid in perfumery. It is what most people for some reason refer to as "powdery", even if the powder they refer to is not necessarily composed of talcum. I do not necessarily associate talcum with women's purses – there are also memories of rock climbing or the backstage of theatre – but it is a bit misplaced in perfumes I think. I am used to it being something that is to be showered off after work/leisure or something that women whish to mask with more top heavy feminine perfumes. But that does not change the fact that I love to smell Dior Homme Parfum from time to time.

youripufje

@RandolphCanuck

I wasn't aware macerating could make THAT much of a difference. You may have turned my head to get this fragrance some time in the coming months - spray it a couple times and put it away until next fall.

The scent itself is extremely impressive to me. It's just the decant I got does not perform.

Just stopping by to tell the world that DHP is the MF GOAT!

Livio

For those who care about this type of detail, the color of the liquid in the 2023/24 batches is slightly lighter than the color of the previous batches (2022, 21, etc.) And the ‘Dior Homme’ writing on the bottle got a little thicker.
If you want, you can send me a message and I'll send you photos with these differences.

RandolphCanuck

After extensive side-by-side testing, I conclude that current Dior Homme Parfum is every bit as good and as the original 75 ml version. Like many here have expressed, I was initially disappointed with my new bottle, acquired late last summer at Charles de Gaulle Airport duty free. It did not perform well right out of the box, seeming weak and somewhat one-note. So after several frustrating wearings, I decided to put it away for a while.

Six months later, and there's been a transformation! What I now have is as potent and complex as the vintage. And it smells virtually identical, from initial spray to late dry down. I won't elaborate on how special this fragrance is, as that's been well documented already. I would just urge a little patience. The new bottles need some air in them and a few months to maturate. That's all. My batch codes are 4W02 and 3F02 for my 2014 and 2023 bottles, respectively. And yes, the formulation code on both boxes is the same, 08642/A.

Arsenal Till I Die

Opening 10 seconds is nice and that’s about it. Smells like an old lady. I got this when it came out for $140 for a tester. How did the price for this average fragrance become so stupid!

dayonee

Yeah. Just get one. Hype is warranted.

If you're a fan of the designer DNA of DHI, VUI, PLI, GGRP, etc, this is the epitome. I mean, damn. I though DHI was good (which it is) but this is game, set, match, go home good. Mildly less powdery than the DHI, darker and more depth. If DHI is a make-up bag, DHP is a full grain leather bag with the make-up bag inside. No words for it. If DHI is king, this is God.

Again, just get one.

youripufje

ChiliOfTheValley, I wholeheartedly agree with your review on how this compares to DHI, both in quality and performance.

youripufje

After going through a bottle of the original formulation of DHI and halfway through my 'new' 150ML bottle of DHI I finally ventured to a sample of Dior Homme Parfum. In short, I'm baffled by the upgrade in quality, smoothness and blend of this compared to the DHI I am so familiar with.

As other have commented, Parfum's opening is immediately addictive and allures you to drench every inch of your body in it - if it wasn't for the suffocating thickness and syrupiness of the scent bubble.

Parfum is an extremely iconic blend that I can not get enough of after 2 days of wearing. It's very unfortunate the performance does not seem that impressive on my skin. Similar to my recent bottle of DHI I suppose.

Even after years of subscribing to this hobby my nose is not developed enough to pick out individual notes so I can only describe it as a clear make-up, floral, deep scent that makes me think of a high-end leather designer purse carrying lipstick and sanitary products.

Contrary to others I don't find this hard to wear at all, but then again I am not one to believe certain fragrances can only be worn in certain circumstances.

Can iris be sexy? YES SIR!

NOSEYBODY

Dior Homme Parfum opens with the usual "Lipstick" Iris note. Also within that opening you get a note of Italian Orange.

Its not a bright zesty sweet Orange. Its immediately heavy, soured, & somewhat Boozy, like Grand Marnier.

For reference, It smells like the Booze in Fahrenheit Le Parfum mixed with a Sour Orange note.

The Rose is beautifully supported by the note of Sandalwood. But its not a natural Rose. Its Cosmetic. Like a Rose scented Makeup Powder.

Within the initial opening theres also the heavy presence of a Green, almost minty cool, yet warm Spice swirling around that smells like an unlisted note of Cardamom.

Just as soon as Dior Homme Parfum begins to settle into this Spiced Rose scented Makeup Powder with Boozy Orange undertones, in comes this note of Leather, which not only darkens the fragrance, but also causes it to straddle the fence in ambiguity.

To my nose the Leather is roughed up. More like Nubuck than smooth Leather. However its not strong. Its moderate & blended well within the other notes.

All of this rests on a bed of Agarwood, Cedar, & Ambrette.

The Agarwood note is not the "Oud" variety we've come to expect. This Agarwood is Woody, Soft, Dusty, & acts as a base for the Cedar note.

The note of Ambrette in this fragrance isnt exactly Musky in the way you'd think. It smells warm, & mildly ambry sweet, like dark human skin.

To be perfectly honest, Dior Homme Parfum smells like a Middle Eastern interpretation of Dior Homme.

In fact, in the Night Air Dior Homme Parfum smells like a Luxury Rose Incense you'd smell burned in Middle Eastern Palaces during Wedding Parties.

The fragrance isnt Smoky. But the Dustiness of the Agarwood creates the feeling of Incense.

The combination of Ambrette, Soured Orange, & Cardamom also creates an accord that tricks my nose into smelling Myrrh somewhere in the composition.

The final dry down of DHP is a leathery, dusty vanilla-like, ambry sweet Rose/Agarwood skin scent with spices.

In this stage the Spice/Rose combination smells very similar to the Spice/Rose combination in Dior's "Oud Ispahan", but without the Oud, & Cowhide Leather accord..

Unlike other reviewers I will not say that if you like Dior Homme Intense you'll like Dior Homme Parfum. Because they're two entirely different fragrances.

However, I will say that even though Dior Homme Parfum has accords of both Lipstick & Makeup Powder, & straddles the fence in ambiguity, that just like Dior Homme Intense, it still leans more Masculine than it does Feminine.

The performance of Dior Homme Parfum is through the roof. Its strong, but its so pleasant that its not intrusive.

For anyone experiencing performance issues with a newly sprayed bottle. Let it macerate for two weeks to a month after its initial few sprays. You will see an improvement in its performance, as well as more depth to its scent.

Its a dark fragrance, but its not brooding. Its more of a mysterious darkness. Quite different from Dior Homme Intense, which is more of a sexy darkness.

Dior Homme Parfum is among my most complimented fragrances. So have no worries there.

Dior Homme Parfum is the most complex fragrance in the Dior Homme Line. Its a true masterpiece, & a must have for fragrance collectors, if you can still find it.

iRankFragrances

This is top tier. I recently got this fragrance and so far I have gotten many compliments of it. It is really strong on the iris and surprisingly orange has a strong smell aswell. It's so addictive and smells like a powerful orange soda mixed with the most deep iris ever and then blends in with the leather drydown.

It smells like a rich man who owns a huge car collection.

@v4ggelakis
Give some time for maturation, make 4-5 wearings and let it maturate a but, its just 1 month old, im sure it will be much stronger even after 3 months, after 6 months it will be strong. After 1 year im pretty sure it will become beast mode. 3F1X batch i thought is weak too, after 4 months maturation its much stronger.

v4ggelakis

i had great expectations for this but hell NO…not something special and the longegivity-projection very bad..batch jan 2024 ( 4A02 )

candia93

My favorite fragrance of all time. No doubt in my mind.
Everything about it is perfect.
Elegant, classy, very tuxedo-friendly fragrance
I smell it from the bottle very often just for the pleasure of it.
10/10 for me

The bad part is:
- It's not very versatile, so as much as I'd love to, I can't wear it very often
- My girlfriend doesn't like it as much because of this lipsticky feel

kerolz

@LeSmeller did you tried from bottle or atomiser? Becouse even 2023 batches are nuclear performance after a little maturation time, give it some time and you will see that its way stronger than Dior Homme Intense, If you have 2008-2014 bottle of Dior Homme intense then those bottles was with nuclear performance too

Will in DC

Absolutely stunning. While not a style I'd normally seek out, this is a masterpiece, and the rating is fully deserved. The artistry here is that you can pick out individual notes, but none of them dominate, and they all support and add to the overall scent. The orange is there, the leather, iris, and rose are all noticeable but the balance and interplay is perfect. Sophisticated, professional, luxury. It won't be an everyday fragrance (I'd get bored of anything worn repeatedly), but this is easily top 5 of anything I've smelled. One of the very few perfumes at this price point that are worth the money. 10/10.

All I can say this is THE MAGIC of Dior’s House😍 that they ever never let you down.
SCENT AND PERFORMANCE are incredible, what fucking this juice in this battle 🥰

TWN2RBO

I was so wrong about this fragrance.. I have bashed DHI for the lip stick woman’s make up bag thing for a while now. I generally refuse to jump on any hype train and follow a crowd, which is why my collection consists mainly of niche and indie houses. BUT THIS DHP is different. I never planned to try it bc I thought it would just be an amped up version of DHI. Well, I finally got me a decant. A gentleman was nice enough to send it as a surprise with my recent purchase of PDM - Oajan…

DHP is pure class and sophistication. It smells much more expensive than what it really is. It is one of the sexiest leather fragrances I’ve ever smelled. It is not like DHI with the lipstick make up bag at all, it’s there but not in your face like that one. This is a really really good take on leather. It’s not like a leather wallet or belt type of leather, it’s like a new high end French leather couch where someone who was wearing DHI was sitting on it next to a bad bitch. It lasted on my hand all day and through the night. I couldn’t stop smelling it and it just kept getting better on my skin, more creamy and seductive, prob from the sandalwood.

I see why people love this one so much. I will never purchase DHI or any other flanker from the line, but I have just ordered DHP w the F U tax to America. Straight banger of a fragrance.

0xrafae

Dior Homme has been my go-to for formal nights out, but Homme Parfum just takes that excellence to another level. The shift from Intense is subtle, but the addition of a gentle orange note makes a stunning difference. It's going to be quite some time before anyone can follow Demachy and outdo his previous nearly flawless creation.

"OUI" FOR A 2011 DIOR... BUT PARFUM OR INTENSE?
[short review]

The Dior Homme series is sometimes hated and often loved. Perhaps it is the most consensual male perfume of the elite trio Chanel-Dior-YSL. Of course, I am not referring to any of the perfume versions that have been launched in 2020. I am writing about the good old 2011 versions that you can still encounter in many WEB retailers.
These Dior stars - as well its Valentino satellites and its Zara and Armaf's asteroids - have in common a noticeable Iris note. Then the different perfume offers may grant you a little more or a little less vanilla, ambrette, cedar, or even leather and cocoa. Performance and quality are proportional to the above-average price.
Usually, the most serious perfume aficionados prefer Homme Parfum 2011 or Homme Intense 2011 within the Dior offer.
Dior Homme Parfum and Valentino Uomo EDT are the fragrances that stray furthest from this strong Iris note backbone. The Dior Parfum version has a musky footprint due to the Ambrette note and, of all the perfumes mentioned so far, it is the only one that has a faint Oud note added to Sandalwood.
I am not a strong fan of Iris so I may have some distance and fairness to compare these various fragrances, even if coming from different brands. On the other hand, I love Oud but I was never completely convinced that there is real harmony in a blending of Oud and Iris.
I do like Dior Homme Parfum but I confess that as a spraying choice on my skin is punctual for me. I do it only when I find myself looking for a darker mood or when the weather is very cold. Most of the time I prefer the more wearable Intense version ... and I also never let anybody take away from me my beloved and sweeter Valentino Uomo EDT for brighter and warmer days. But if it's really cold, the Dior Homme Parfum thicker scent becomes irresistible, besides giving us the best performance with enviable longevity, sillage and projection.
Dior Homme Parfum is mostly a linear fragrance and, right from the start, shows you an earthy and powdery Iris. You perceive a growing velvety manly leather that will become dominant for a couple of hours and will faint during the drydown. A soft oriental but dark sandalwood, as well a musky background, are easily detectable. Together they will take over for the drydown.
It's a sunset and sunrise type of fragrance.

i borrowed it from a friend and i used it at the danse and i got several complements. the mosted i have gotten om any fragrance. its just a better versjon then dior homme intense 2011. and i regret not buying dior homme parfum

The Wicked 8989

In my opinion this is Diors best release. I paid 180$ for it and it is worth every penny. I smelled DHI i wasn’t a fan of it, so I didn’t think I would like this one but man I was so wrong. This is my go to for special occasions, gets compliment every time I wear it. I get 8 hour longevity with beast mode projection.

Miracle.Fragrance

The Irish is not too thick like dhi and the addition of leather notes makes this perfume more masculine, I prefer this one to dhi which I think is too powdery, because the price is expensive for the perfume version, maybe I'll wait for a discount to buy it later.

FranLuigi97

Definitely my signature fragance. Love the scent, the longetivity is awesome, and for me it's a completely unisex fragance.
This is one of the few 10/10 of perfumery.

c0ca1nel0ve

Beautiful, complex and classy. one of the best iris notes i've ever smelled if not the best!

jbroadist

Sophisticated, masculine. Good for formal occasions.

ChiliOfTheValley

Not being satisfied with the performance of DHI, I pulled the trigger on this expecting it to be DHI on steroids, with beastly performance on par with Sauvage Elixir. Sounds good, right? Hell nah. This couldn’t be further from the truth. I am so disappointed.

All the reviewers here saying “use no more than 2 sprays, or you might choke out the nearest person”, “impossible to wear in closed spaces” must be smelling a different fragrance or older batches. Seems like DHP has been reformulated to death.

I have a 2023 batch, and the scent is simply gorgeous, really refined. It definitely has that “wow!” factor and it smells so much better than DHI, which is already a beauty on its own. But hear me out, even with 3-4 sprays, I guarantee people won’t be able to smell you. This is a very intimate fragrance. The most I could get out of this is about 2 hours soft projection and 7-8 hours longevity with a minimum of 4 sprays.

I’m pretty sure older batches perform much better, this fragrance has a solid rating for a reason. But if you’re looking to pick up a recent batch, consider that the performance of newer batches is mediocre (at best) before buying.

TL;DR: You’re paying 150 euros for a skin scent. I think the price here is definitely not justified.

AJ7

Every woman loves this and will love this,

end of story.

MonaMaybe

This is so hot. I have no notes. I could never get tired of smelling this on a dude

Iwantcompliments2

Finally tried this at an airport. Don’t get me wrong, the quality is definitely there, but a must have at the asking price? I don’t think so. There are many other better/cheaper alternatives out there. The supposed rarity and exclusivity is what’s driving all the rave reviews. Please don’t fall for it, try it and take a walk before deciding to pull the trigger.

kerolz

Pretty big stock of DHP at Copenhagen airport dutty free, i bought few backup bottles today for 117€ each . Didin’t tried this 3M1X batch but its december batch so at least its not discontinued

RangHell07

It is a fragrance that a successful, sober, mature person with a touch of mysticism would wear. I really love the touch of oud and the orange. The best fragrance of the DH family.

Nnhgcddrhkmbfcnnjhgc

Masterpiece in my opinion. Wasn’t a fan of DHI I found it too lipstick Iris heavy. This is way more masculine and balanced to my nose. Might not get worn a lot, but still worth it for those atomiser sniffs now and again just to appreciate it

Blizznakov

This is a tough one to describe. One thing is for sure, this is the best one from the Dior Homme line. It took me a whole year to get a bottle of DHP (Dior Homme Parfum) and i have mixed feeling about it. On the good side, like i said this is the best version of Dior Homme, also it has the best performance, the sprayer is perfect like any other dior, the scent is 100% complete, super unique and sophisticated. Now on the down side, it's hard to get, just because it's unique doesn't mean that you will like it, you can't imagine the scent from notes, the juice is niche quality, but lacks some flashy presentation like most niche fragrances, it just comes in a rectangular, carton dior box.
However the scent is i soo well blended. Imagine a mix of leather, light sweet smoke and sweet iris. It feels like it has a pinch of chocolate/cacao although it is not mentioned in the notes. The longevity is easily 9-10 hours and projecting pretty well for 3-6 hours. I don't know why, but on my skin the scent is not consistent. Sometime i go noseblind to it really fast and some times i can feel it more or later after few hours. It's weird. Anyway i admire DHP and appreciate it even though i'm not in love with it. This fragrance is like a excellent and expensive smoking suit, you know it's the best looking official dress you got, but you can't wear it all the time.

I am experienced and i always buy original fragrance.
I only rate fragrances which i tested for at least a month in different environment and with different people. Also i am spraying them on my girlfriend (she hates it) to test if i go nose blind to them and to see if it feels different on someone else's skin.
I always give my honest opinion.
Greetings from Bulgaria.

This is the kind of journey I like. A bit of work some disappointment to keep up the sense of anticipation and expectation of the prize to come and this is it! I smelt this amazing fragrance on someone who said his wife bought it for him and all he knew is that it was Dior... So I tried: Ambre Nuit... Pleasant almost fresh gentle amber, Tobacolor: superb and bought it .. but it was not THE one, DHI which was cloying, DH Cologne, fresh nice generic , finally my decant of DHP arrived. Instant love. Spicy, woody cacao, powerful enveloping caring sensitive, utterly masculine yet slightly understated - as long as you don't over spray. What the world needs, a true alpha male.

PS: This is a much much better distant cousin to the old Tom Ford Extreme.

los_equis_5

Manage to get my hands on Dior Homme Parfum. It smells great, the leather note and the orange note make a huge difference. I sample DHI but the iris was too prevalent for my liking.

XilentCntrl

👌🔥absolute Fire, Got the attention of everyone at a function . Few chased me to ask what m wearing.

senad05

Arguably one of the best scents ever created. The difference between DHI and DHP is huge. DHP is far more masculiune and dark, with a strong hint of the leathernote. 10/10 smell, but not suitable for hot weathers. Maybe at night..

SnoZan

@NoirMemoir

If you sprayed on each hand you wouldnt be able to smell the DHI, because your room would smell DHP. I normally go 8 sparys with any parfume, but this one is ONE spray only, otherwise you killed everyone (including yourself) around you. It smells much heavier and darker then DHI. Even with my novice nose i can tell the difference right away

kerolz

@NoirMemoir DHI and DHP are tottaly different fragrance and you would pick which is which easily. So i can see that you get DHI decant labeled as DHP or just fake,

NoirMemoir

After getting a sample of Dior Homme Intense a while ago, and also a sample of Mancera Black Prestigium, i was really eager to test the now legendary Dior Homme Parfum. I wanted it to be the same experience as with Layton vs Layton Exclusif where the original was nice but Exclusif was "WOW!". I wanted Dior Homme Parfum to bring the "dirtyness" and the matureness.

Bought a small decant of DHP from someone and now im seriously suspecting i might have been scammed and whats in the vial is actually the normal DHI.

From the decant i've got, i smell no leather, no oud, just the lipstick iris with the rose in the background. As im writing this, i sprayed both the older DHI sample and DHP decant on my hands and i smell no difference.

I brought up Mancera's Black Prestigium because i think, in a way, it "clones" Dior Homme Intense but what it does is it cranks up the rose accord way too much, and its the signature Montale rose. I don't hate the rose used often in Montale/Mancera, but i think its a bit overdosed in Black Prestigium just for the sake of adding their own signature to it. The rose in Mancera makes it more synthetic, unpolished while Dior focuses on the powdery Iris and is a bit sweeter and velvety. Dior is smooth all together, while Black Prestigium is wild and screetchy for a good couple of hours but alot better as the hours go by.

Im bummed out because eighter i got scammed and Dior Homme Parfum eluded me, or my nose just cannot make a difference from Dior Homme Intense and frankly i don't know which of the two is worst haha.

I’ll spend my whole life buying a back up bottles of this masterpiece. My scent forever, my personality in a bottle. This is a beautiful elegant french night out scent. Wearing this in the winter nights feels magical.
I love sometimes mix DHP with DHI, but wearing DHP alone is something to die for, for me DHP is my favourite fragrance of all time, LIDGE is the second.
DIOR HOMME PARFUM IS THE REAL MASTERPIECE.
Big LOVE

Felixthreeone

This is, quite simply, magnificent. The quality of perfumery contained inside of this bottle is exquisite. I just finally got my nose on a decant and all I can say is wow. The way this unfolds is every bit of what the note breakdown suggests, but in a way that the notes themselves simply cannot convey. You must smell this if you are even remotely a fan of the Dior line of iris-based fragrances. Or even if you aren't. If you like fragrance, you need to smell this. And wear it. It isn't a blind-buy safe fragrance, although if you like DHI, VUI, rose, leather and oud this is right up your alley. I do admit that it is a bit less dry than I thought it would be, and the rose is a bit more pronounced than I was expecting. That aside, I'm not sure this fragrance is something I want to own a bottle of. I'm not sure when I could deploy such a beautiful fragrance into the world. Even the most posh, sophisticated event that I will ever attend in my life isn't proper enough for this level of fragrant perfection. The parfum would be wearing me the whole time. If you can pull this off, my hat is off to you sir/ma'am. This is the pinnacle of designer Dior, in my honest opinion. I'm sure some of the OG Homme mixes were stellar, but this is the only one I've been fortunate enough to experience. Sample this, if you can. You may be blown away, as I was. Or, you may not. But, you may be that person that can wear this with regularity and that is great too.

RonnieDewey

I love this stuff. I get iris the whole wear as the oud and leather just bring it out more and constantly. Definitely in my top 5 and would stay there as others come and go. Look forward to winter every year just too wear this in the cold as even better then 15 out of 10 lol

StunningSamuel

If you're not a fan of leather, don't pick this up! It definitely has the same beauty Homme Intense but the addition of the Orange and Leather make it a different beast. A good release from Dior as usual. Definitely not blind buy safe!

Bought at the airport in spain after looking for it at retail for over a year.

Finally got myself a bottle of DHP. Right away don't expect to have crazy performance. 2 weeks and there it is ... starting to be better and better.
Scent, never tried it before only intense version that I liked. This one is much much more dense. Don't eat me please but I don't see anything iconic and The Best ever but hey it's just me. Maybe in time will change my mind but for now that's how it is. Lipstick scent on steroids.

This is the holy grail scent I've been searching for since I started my fragrance collecting journey about a year ago. I want to wear this every day. My other frags are going to be neglected, big time. I was lucky enough to snag two backup bottles. I also have two bottles of Fomo Gary's Den, a stellar clone of Dior Homme Parfum, for when I want a little rougher version of the scent profile. Set for life! DHP is a masterful blend of Iris, Leather, Orange Blossom, and maybe a bit of Rose. Smells like Heaven on my clothes. The best smelling designer, and I've pretty much smelled them all.

DM if you are willing to part with your bottle for trade. ConUS.

I miss having this fragrance in my collection. Not every batch is the same, and the iris in the bottle I had was not nearly as prominent as a sample I had. It was still good, but it's the difference between an [A] and an [A+] to me. As far as I'm concerned, that is a world of difference. I don't like the vast majority of designer fragrances, but this really is exceptional.

AJ7

50 to 100 years from now this one will still be amazing... Best from the house of Dior.

Sam-Erik

This is my top choice in the late fall and especially winter, day and evening.
It took me a while to find myself enjoying the perfume, as I had difficulty with the Iris note. I always enjoyed the longevity. The longer I wear it throughout the day the more enjoyable the fragrance is for me. I wear it daily alternating with Dior Ambre Nuit, during late fall and winter.

Jullyan

Art in a bottle, best niche smelling designer fragrance.
Longevity 12+ h with beastmode Projection.

Bababrr

My favourite fragrance of all time.

The most elegant, luxurious and addictive scent I have. Very high quality ingredients used, that work magically with each other. The iris is still the main player and is just as lipsticky as in DHI, but is backed up with such smooth leather and woodsy qualities. In the complete dry down after about 7-8 hours, I get subtle and sweet rose and it’s my favourite part. Such a comforting scent. You feel special when you wear this and you will until that day is done.

Longevity is exceptional, with 12+ hours of strong projecting and radiating goodness. Lasts as a skin scent until the next day but I don’t count that, as it already has beyond enough lasting power for a whole day.

Definitely suited for evening and night time use in the Autumn and Winter. Best for special occasions and special moments but this would be the best signature scent, if bottles of this was far more widely available.

I was lucky enough to be able to get the last remaining bottle at a duty free in an airport for an amazing price back in September and I’ve held off on reviewing this to give it time. This being a blind buy, and me not being that big of a fan of DHI, this truly took me by my feet.

mystcblue

Its better than instense.. A bit smoky for me.. And the leather ....Great finish..

kerolz

Im just talking from my experience. I freshly opened two new batches 3H01 and 3F1X and I and 2 other people find it to be quite different, performance 1/2, maybe something is wrong with one batch bottle or something i dont know but it is what it is. Recently bought partial bottle from 2019.03 and this bottle juice smell and performance is the same as 3H01 but night and day from 3F1X

sanmarinojr

So many people comparing batches , absolute nonsense. The parfum is the same as it ever was. You're looking at the wrong code if you want to know anything about the fragrance.

If you're going to compare something , compare the unique formula which dior uses to show reformulated scents and changes in the composition. It's written just after the ingredients, it should be N° 08642/A. This is the only formula code this fragrance ever had. Even if only 1 ingredient is changed , or even just the proportions changed , they need to change this code.

That is all to it.

The only thing out of their control is something like -
" this years' wine is better then last years' because it was a good year for the grapes "
kind of thing, but trust me these differences will be negligible!

Everything else is imagination , maceration, and luck with how the fragrance has been stored by you or before you.

Also , as a last point - be patient ! A brand new bottle not yet macerated will never be as good as a bottle you bought on the same day with the same numbers , but you opened 2 weeks before.

An example - I just bought a bottle which is the same batch as the tester I tried at the store , which was stuck on my skin for 10+ hours .. guess what , just opened mine and several sprays were gone in what felt like less then half of that time , but I'm cool , cause I know that this will get to the same performance in no time.

Companies don't have time to let their juices breath enough time to be ready to go. So just spray several times and leave the bottle alone ( if you really need and can let yourself be disappointed with such a masterpiece. )
Enjoy it and be thankful that you can have something like this in your wardrobe . People that buy cheap dupes and clones from Arabic companies know how much a difference maceration makes , well I do, too , since I have 20 plus.

If you don't like it though , that's totally normal , you don't need to like what everybody else seems to like. I for one don't find anything nice about Bleu de Chanel ( today's batches ! ) and most blue fragrances , kill me.

Even if someday they do change the composition it will still be worth it since the composition unique.

Nicely made, rich and good quality. I'm not the biggest fan of the rose in the opening, although it's one of my favorite notes. Then it blends together with the leather, cacao and woods to create a warm DH. I prefer DHP to DHI, but DH remains the greatest.

I recently purchased a 2ml sample of Dior Homme Parfum so I don't know what batch it is, but nevertheless, here is my review.

Dior Homme Parfum opens with a blast of iris and leather. There is a strong focus on the leather and less so on the iris, but it is certainly present. I get no orange at all in this fragrance. There is also a dark chocolate nuance that adds to the roundness of the opening. There is also a bit of woods in the opening, but no oud to my nose. The projection at this phase is relatively strong for the first two hours of this fragrance.

The true beauty of this fragrance, in my humble opinion, lies between the 2 and 3 hour mark, where the leather becomes tame and the fragrance becomes more rounded. There is a beautiful symphony of rose, woods, and a bit of smokiness (which I suppose is a mix of the oud and more tamed leather). At this phase, the fragrance projection becomes more intimate, becoming a skin scent at about 6 hours in. The longevity overall is pretty impressive, lasting at least 10 hours but could go on longer if sprayed more.

In summary, Dior Homme Parfum is a beautiful designer fragrance with prominent leather, iris, and chocolate accords in the opening and a more rounded dry down of rose, woods, and slight smokiness. In my opinion, I like Dior Homme Intense more because it is a little sweeter and has no leather (not that I dislike leather, but as a younger man, I feel like it suits best a more mature audience). The fragrance leans quite masculine in the first two hours, but could definitely qualify as unisex in the dry down as the rose comes out and the leather becomes more tame.

Got in a 3H01 batch the other day and it’s perfect to me. Sampled the OG formulation many times back in the day and it was way too overwhelming and gave me old lady vibes. My nose doesn’t get intimidated very easily but the original blend would haunt me for 24+ hours. Weeks on clothing or furniture.

3H01 tones down the punch while still maintaining the same scent profile with great longevity.

Opening reminds me of Dior Homme Intense, but more dark and deep.
The Iris is very strong in the open. In the middle, the leather starts to gradually come out. There is a slight woodiness in the middle, but before that can develop, a rose starts coming out from the mid to the dry down. In the very dry down, you get a soapy powdery rose.

Great projection; Great longevity

Was it worth the wait and hefty price I paid after all the hype this thing had got? No!

Am I happy I did it? I don't know! I don't regret it. But my pockets are way thinner now.

I'm not the biggest fan of Dior Homme Intense, but Parfum is better. I will be wearing Parfum more than Intense. But don't believe the hype. It's a nice luxurious designer fragrance for sure! But for the price you'd be paying, you're better off with a nice niche perfume instead.

I feel like this is Dior's take on the barbershop style of perfume. It's not a typical fougere, but it's soapy, powdery, and clean and very very classy. Smells like money. But not very sexy. Unless you find money sexy, you gold digger you!

@Moeen999

For me 3H01 batch is amazing. Much better than 3F1X

Yaterade

I gave this a review earlier when I first got a bottle of the 100ml, where I wrote that I was disappointed with projection from what I had expected from the fragrance based on what I had heard in reviews of the original 75ml and the earlier bottles of that in particular. I since have gotten two different batch codes of the fragrance and let them open up a little bit. While I feel it may still not be the beast I was expecting to my nose, I’ve experienced that hours after application others will still notice it on me and remark about it even a few hours after I’ve seen them.

I think these bottles need a little bit out of the box, and I also think that this feels a bit more close to the skin to the wearer than it actually is. That being said, I’ve searched far and wide and while I may not be the most prolific frag hoarder of all time, when I find a note I like I go very deep into it and try and collect as much of it as I can. I’ve yet to find something that feels quite like DHP - the fragrances rated here as being similar are all very nice but do not have the “bass” notes or the richness that DHP has. It is almost perfectly crafted in a Fender Jazzmaster Rhythm Circuit kind of way (for those that that makes sense to). It cuts out some of the brightness of DHI and many of the other Iris leaning fragrances and leaves you with a soft, warm, but clean tone of a cozy winter overcoat that is not muddied or fuzzy or overbearing. It’s that dark navy or black greatcoat—not ostentatious—that you wear out when you’re walking to a nice dinner and just know that the look fits you and you fit the look for that time and place.

My only lament is that the availability in the US is down to eBay or catching it on an off chance at a grey market seller, and that nobody else whether in the clone, designer, or niche world has come close.

Moeen999

What do you think of 3H01 batch in terms of performance?

krish252510

Absolutely stunning fragrance and my go to if and when I’m dressed up! Longevity is unreal and it’s probably the best fragrance in my collection (reserve privee comes close)

I have an spare unopened bottle for sale if anyone’s interested uk only

Alexandrul

Just got my bottle from their official website, for the moment I must agree with @Jey801 on this one, the new batch, 3L01, sits close to the skin and gets no projection bubble like many here said; I will let it macerate and maybe I'll come back with an update.
Scent wise, it's beautiful, I would describe it as a smooth and discrete rose covered in a layer of very pleasant and mass appealing leather that is being topped with bits of chocolate.
As it drydowns, it gets better and better, more masculine per se.

Soultrap

What they write and say about this frangrace is true. It is nothing short of a masterpiece, It's one of the best fragrances ever created.

10/10

magicrichard2010

not gonna lie. I would say this is the best designer frangrance i own, and very likely to be the best designer fragrance ever made.
sophisticated, sexy, opulent.

Evamomma

I cannot say much more than has already been said but, this is definitely unisex. I am a woman who has been searching high and low for this for three years. When Sebastian said it was in stock on Fragrance Buy CA, I snatched it up for $189. It is worth every cent. I can see a back up bottle in my future. I have worn the intense version in the past but this is the best version by far. The silage and longevity are exceptional.

Dhillon1990

This fragrance is so well made. You gotta wear it couple times to appreciate it. When I first sprayed I thrown away like what the shit is this but now this is my fav haha. Really worth the price and it stays over 24 hours in clothes and around 16 hours on skin.

Jey801

Batch 3L01 ( november launch). This is basically the most faint scent in my collection, it became almost unnoticable skin scent after like 1 hour and completely disappeared after 2 (not from being noseblind, it was confirmed from second person). It was as dense as cheap body mist and it was really hard to recognise any notes in this. Thats how light it is. My DH Intense is way more noticcable, smells and projects way better than this. This is not same DHP i smelled at the store a while ago. Im not fan of reformulation conspiracies, but theres definetely something going on. (Bought it on official Dior store)

thebark

This new iteration doesn't belong under the same name as the original Dior Homme Parfum. It's nowhere near as thick, dense, and opulent as the 75ml version from which I had a bottle circa 2017. It's not bad, but it's pretty different and lacks the presence of the earlier version, which was very rose, leather, and iris dominant at the opening with lots of projection and silage. This is more well-mannered, if anything, and lacks the bold personality of the former. This is based on initial testing with a single spray; believe me, a single spray from the old version was much, much more impressionable. Batch code 3F1X, from 6/2023.

Edit: I gave it a full wearing the day after posting my initial thoughts. So far, this is still going after seven hours of wear. The longer it's on me, the closer it seems to become to the older bottle, so that's a good thing.

KeithP

I love this, I get a chocolate type note, not a hyper realistic one like in Black Phantom by Killian, but more like a chocolate feeling. The leather and rose are then so smooth that it all blends in to one masculine masterpiece.

My unpopular opinion is that I do not believe this to be a 12-14 beast like various online videos/reviews say. Yes I was definitely hyped in to buying this by a YouTuber who I've completely lost interest in, but I can't be too mad otherwise I wouldn't own this.

Of course I could be going nose blind after a certain amount of time, and its not to say I don't catch whiffs of it past the 6-8 hour mark, but its definitely not some beast that I can't escape all the way up to 12 hours.

Bottle is at home but I bought this direct from Dior website in March 2023 for reference.

Pevderrien

Beautiful in every way. I get a strong rose note more than anything, and the Iris isn't as prominent like the intense version. For those who say get the Homme Intense to suffice for this one, it doesn't even compare. Two different scents in my opinion. 10/10

bareg82987

@Blitzen18 do you still think it's long lasting? I have the same batch and after 4 hours is almost gone from my skin.

dilettante

A really nice iris forward fragrance. Oud surfaces in the dry down. A strong opening and settles to a royal oud, leather drydown. Got this after reading all the reviews and it didn't let me down.

Blitzen18

I just got mine, batch 3L01 - first of november
just sprayed on my forearm and it s quite powerfull, strong leather note with a very smooth, masculine Iris.
to be honest i don t get any chocolate vibe but i ll wait for the drydown
might be just to my nose or off my skin but i have to say that it opens very strong, atleast 2 times stronger than the Intense version
i also may not get an accurate oppinion after today application, i m already nose blind from wearing Interlude 53 Man 😅 so i ll probably have to come back another day with an oppinion :)

kerolz

Today i done comparison between 3H01 and 3F1X batches. And 3H01 batch is much stronger more iris and chocolate, 3F1X is weaker and much more rose, i like 3H01 batch much more between these two.

B'more

This perfume is unique, it 100% reminds me of Cuir Cannage by Dior , they were produced by the same nose in the same year 2014, the other is the privee line that has been discontinued. the both perform and smell the same.
10/10

kerolz

Maybe someone find that maceration with 100ml bottles works? I opened other bottle to use regularly and left used bottle to macerate to find out if it will make it even stronger.

ehazen

I’ve had my first experience with this and to me it opens a little spicy and has a dusty rose smell. The first few hours are very unisex to my nose, it smells more masculine after that. I prefer the dry down over the opening, it’s very different from many of my other scents and I do enjoy it and perhaps the biggest surprise is my wife likes it and she rarely likes anything I wear.

kerolz

For me 3H01 batch is amazing. I have 3F1X batch not opened bottle, maybe i will open it on weekend and compare it to 3H01 batch.

caesar_m3

Batch Code 3H01 - applied 4 times at 8:30 AM. Major "Iris + dark chocolate" storm for the first 2 hours... with hints of leather and oud. After 3 hours mark , leather wood and rose remain present, and going ... and going ... and still going !!! It is 9:30 PM and my wife said i still have a scent buble around me 🤷🏼 . I love my 2008 silver stem bottles but I think I will keep also these DHP bottles . Really strong stuff , comparable with "Sausage" Elixir 😁

hawa438

I have bottle from 2018. Is the newest batch similar or has Dior greatly changed anything? Thank you

Efrosini

I have a brand new in box 75ml dated 2019-01 for sale! DM me.

PepVila

aliahmed9922 I have 3H01, 3C02 (an other 2023 batches as well). They are all the same and all of them have a strong performance, sillage, longevity. It lasts the entire day, 10 hours, 12 hours, even next day you still have the parfum.

kerolz

Last week i bought 3H01 batch. On my skin-performance is on par with sauvage elixir. Really good. Who get bad performance of DHP in my opinion its either they get fake bottle or go nose blind.

aliahmed9922

Dears, 2023 batches (3F1X, 3H01, 3C02) are they worth to buy? i mean not for the scent but for the perfomance (sillage & longevity) any one tried it ?

kerolz

For me DHP 2023 August batch is like on par projection and longevity with sauvage elixir at least on my skin, its really strong

js71

I am finding that this sits close to the skin after 30 mins and not the projecting beast as others have said, i love the smell but feel a bit dissapointed, i think i prefer dhi even though i need to drown in it to make it last or perform, i think i would have prefered the parfum to just be a strong version of dh and dhi and toned down the leather and oud. To me a stronger dhi could have been the best fragrance in the world.

kerolz

This week i bought last 2 bottles 100ml in airport dutty free for 102€ each. I think i get good deal for it 🤪

drelovesit

Finally got a bottle 😭 Iris is one of my fav notes and Dior is my fav designer brand. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Blind bought this. Extremely sexy man fragrance. Love the iris and how this fragrance darkens with the oud. 10/10

FaizalPermana666

DHP is just a masterpiece in my opinion.

On my skin, the rose shine beautifully along with iris, leather and agarwood.
I just got my second bottle while my older bottle juice is +- 90% left, it is "that good"🖤.

Rdk479

This is the only DH i can stand. DHI is too soft, too feminine for me. The rose in this comes off a little sweet so it isn't overly floral. The only downside is it dries down into the basic DH

Manda88

This is my favorite interpretation of the line - beating out my prior favorite DHI. It’s definitely unisex and although I haven’t smelled it on a man, I’m sure it would be great. It’s cozy, sexy and addictive.

I love this shit.

hc123

Had a chance to wear this a few times recently and I only love it more. I own DHI and other than the iris note (more prominent in DHI) they are not the same. This is a much darker scent with warm woods, leather and some floral that are blended to PERFECTION. While wearing this for an entire day I don't notice drastic note changes or "stages" while it dries down, it's just one beautiful complex scent that slowly fades over the hours. This is my #1 scent of about 50 I've owned and probably 200 I've smelled.
Scent 11/10
Longevity 7.5/10
Projection 6/10
Sillage 7/10
Price 5/10 (aftermarket)

Gligorije

I recently got 100ml bottle 3H01 from august 2023
Longevity isnt as good as i expected, i get the same performance as DHI, exept DHI projects better, maybe the juice needs some time to mature, has anyone had similar isues?

PepVila

aliahmed9922 I have the 3C02 batch (March 2023) and it's very good. The one you mentioned, 3F1X, is June 2023, which must be similar. It seems each month there is a batch this year, I also have the 3H01, which is August 2023, but didn't opened it yet. I mean, it seems they produce on demand, not a lot of units each batch, so all 2023 must be similar. I've have seen recently in stores other different batch codes starting with number 3..., which means that they are 2023.

Dieckmann13

Bought this after hovering around Dior Homme Intense for a bit. Found the Dior Homme Parfum at the airport for an exceptional price and went for it. The longevity is way better than the DH Intense. Opening is powdery and iris is definitely present. Getting chocolate notes in the dry down - very pleasant if sprayed on a scarf.
Best in colder weather or in the evening. Wear it at the office occasionally.

Scent: 8/10
Longevity: 10/10
Sillage: 7/10
Box/Bottle: 9/10
Safe blind buy: 4/10 (iris is a dealbreaker for many - not for me though)
Bang for the buck: 5/10

I have for sale a brand new sealed bottle of the 75ml version.
PM for info

PDM_Sam

Aliah, yes I have that same batch along with other older ones over the years and it’s still just as good. Definitely still worth buying even how expensive it may be. Very rare 10/10 fragrance

ozlemmenguloglu

is there a big difference between 75 ml and 100 ml? how is the performance of last batches?

aliahmed9922

Dears, i want to ask you if any one tried this 2023 batch (3F1X) is it worth to buy?

PepVila

Dior Homme Parfum is amazing, and for me it's different from the Dior Homme Intense (DHI) in such fundamental way that I love DHP (2023 batch) and I don't like at all DHI (2023 batch).

While Dior Homme Intense for me smells too much like old cosmetics (smell of the 80s when an older woman dressed up and wore a lot of I don't know what cosmetic products of that time), Dior Homme Parfum in what it has in common with the other one is softer in the drydown, in its right measure I would say, and that leather underneath makes it totally different.

Dior Homme Parfum compares itself to Valentino Uomo Intense (VUI). In my top 2 I would say: first Valentino Uomo Intense and second very closely Dior Homme Parfum. What's more, I think it's a perfect combination to have both, they're not redundant at all, and one makes you take a break from the other. The quality, depth, of these two perfumes when you smell them is just another level, another world.
Then, after VUI and DHP in third position Valentino Uomo (the original), next I would say the Givenchy Gentleman ones (EDP, Reservee Prive and the Boisee, not necessarily in that order).

Bicr

I love this stuff- I wear it for me, not anyone else. I wear it when I want, regardless( I mean I do not wear in 90 degree weather, but you get my point) I have many fragrances and this is my favorite- I also have Gary's Den- It is close, but not exact.. Most people would not even know the difference- it's cheap by comparison and a great buy, BUT- if you have worn Dior Homme Parfum as much as I do- you can tell the difference in the depth. I usually spray Gary's Den and Top off with a couple spritzes of DHP.. Dior is the best designer...

bart4543

The darkest interpretation of the dior iris lineup with the amped up leather note and a whisper of smoky oud. The creamy sandalwood in the dry down helps to smooth out the composition. The powdery cacao dry down from DHI is here as well but it's more like dark chocolate rather than cacao powder. The iris is more leathery, less sweet and dryer compare to DHI. I do love all of dior homme main lineup and this one is no exception. My favorite from the lineup is still DHI. I perfer the cleaner lavender top and the sweeter cozy sexy aspects of the pear liquor in the dry down.

Poccha

I don't get people said it's similar to DHI, it's not. DHI is prominent on the iris note, while DHP is focus more on leathery note. The iris is there but the leather certainly took the center stage there, hence it is less lipsticky due to it. DHP is surely darker, heavier & for more matured guy than DHI and probably less versatile too. Try DHI first before DHP, imo.

DHI - 9.5/10
DHP - 8.0/10
(Maybe it'll grow on me later on)

HisNoseKnows

simply the best. 1000/10.

TheDogfatherHTX

Dior Homme Parfum, the MOST hyped Dior Homme, with Dior Homme Intense a close second. Does it live up to the hype people have given it? Read on to find out;

Scent:
Opening is powdery, sweet, leathery, and woody. Immediately I get the strong iris note accompanied by the leather and wood notes. I also get just a tinge of the orange and rose notes. In the dry down the iris is still the main player, but the rose, leather, and woods are balanced with it pretty well. I get just the tiniest bit of oud, not enough to call it notable.

Performance:
Initial projection is nuclear and fills the room when I walk in. The sillage is just as strong, leaving a scent trail that's impossible to miss. After a few hours, the projection was still strong at around 4-6 feet and there was still a strong scent trail. At about 8 hours, there was still about 12 inches of projection and a decent scent trail. Altogether this scent lasted a full 24 hours on my skin, up until I showered, and it even then it woke up again once I got wet. Easy to call this one eternal.

When to wear:
This is most suited as a night time fall/winter fragrance. However, this is a perfect wear for the office as well, just go light on the sprays. It would also be a great pick for a date night or any formal occasion.

Blind buy:
This is 100% blind buy worthy if you like iris scents. I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed in this fragrance.

Final verdict:
This fragrance is in my top 5 for a reason: It's a modern masterpiece. It's classy, sophisticated, and alluring. It turns heads and commands positive attention. It's a guaranteed compliment getter. It has stellar performance. There's nothing negative to say about this fragrance. The only problem is finding it, as it's always sold out. When you do happen to find it in stock somewhere, be prepared to pay around $200 or more for it. Even at that price, I'd say it's worth every penny. Add this to your collection as soon as you can. As of writing this, Fragrancebuy has it in stock for $178.00. I expect it to sell out very fast.

*Side note*
If you can't find DHP, or don't want to spend the money on it, there's a clone from Fomo called Gary's Den that has really good reviews. I've never tried it, so I can't personally speak to its resemblance, but others seem to really enjoy it. This can also be found on Fragrancebuy for $30-40.

Scent: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10
Sillage: 10/10

Prague

@holyslap thanks. I'm disappointed. I like the new version but it's not the same smell as I was obsessed with... that lipsticky iris, leather, and vanilla. Bummer.

gengle

Fragrancebuy has this listed, btw

ScentedAway

I find that it's completely unisex if you know what I mean. I mean the female handbag association is present, ladies would enjoy wearing its rich, lush warm and boozy quality. Men definitely would respond to this scent from a lady.

Conversely, a woman who is familiar with the scent would find it out of ordinary on a man who smells like her vanity bag and would go instantly crazy for him.

🔥 🔥 🔥

holyslap

@Prague

Yes, definitely. I have a bottle from 2019 and had a 2021 batch as well. I sold the 2021 (new packaging) bottle because it had too much rose. The difference is very obvious if you have smelled both versions side by side.

Prague

Quick question. Anyone else agree that this version of Dior Homme Parfum has way, way more rose in it right from the opening, compared to the previous, which had lots more waxy, lipsticky iris and vanilla?

IceMell

From the first spray, the smoothest, lipstickiest iris presented in all of its elegance in the original Dior Homme takes the lead along with an animalic yet refined leather, musk and oud. I barely detect the orange and only as something kind of citrusy. Rose is listed, but my untrained nose can't distinguish it specifically. After the first few minutes, somehow it actually gets even softer on my skin. The most masculine sliky floral scent ever begins to radiate gently and the closer my nose gets to it, the smoother it is. As we get into the dry down, the iris, leather and woods take over and it stays classy, masculine and not sweet, continuing to leave a gentlemanly scent trail and project off my skin for the next 8 hours.

Because of the heaviness and strength of the fragrance, I prefer to use in weather under 75 degrees, and to go easy on the trigger or give it an hour plus to settle down for smaller rooms or car rides. In cold weather, it holds up very well and seems even classier.

So, the obvious question now... How does it compare to Dior Homme Intense or pre-2020 Dior Homme? I lack experience with the oldest batches of Dior Homme when they were new, but while it does evoke the richness of the iris of the older aging bottles I have smelled, it is definitely a heavier, more animalic version as advertised. Dior Homme Intense is less "intense" than Parfum to me, but it is also sweeter with lavender versus leather, and the drydown is sweet chocolate and powerdey iris versus the leather, woody, powdery iris of DHP.

Compliments are not a major factor for me in choosing fragrances in general, but I always consider who will be exposed to my choice. I do not get complimented on my fragrances all that often, but I have gotten compliments from more mature women on how gentlemanly DHP smells every time I wore this. That's not a guarantee, lol, and I'm a married man in his 50's.

That said, all things considered, I personally prefer wearing sweeter iris scents like Valentino Uomo Acqua, Prada L'Homme L'eau or Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir Parfum, so Dior Homme Intense is my preference over the parfum. I do also enjoy niche fragrances with orris like ATH Homme, but that is a different beast entirely to me.

In conclusion, I tip the hat to Monsieur Demachy for creating yet another incredible 10/10 fragrance that is a joy to occasionally put my nose on, but I respectfully prefer DHI on my skin from this family of fragrances, especially at the price point to get this in the US. If looking for a cheaper alternative to DHP, Gary's Den from FOMO is indeed a less refined but darned close contender.

mittarkreddy

DHP is an exquisite fragrance with an elegant scent reminiscent of something a fashion icon would choose to wear. Its longevity is outstanding, requiring only 3-4 sprays to last throughout the day.

Smellybutgood

Edit: This stuff is effin AMAZING!!!!!!

I own all kinds of fragrances to include niche but have come to the conclusion that Dior is my favorite house of all.

Dior Homme Parfum smells like rich, powdery iris and sweet orange. Ultimately, it dries down into musky woods united with remnants of iris, rose, and leather. It’s sensuous yet elegant– a scent crafted for the sophisticated, metrosexual man. To me, this is the aroma of robust, modern masculinity.

It is also a very peculiar fragrance, original-smelling and a vigorous performer. It is very suited for dates and intimate encounters as well as formal events. A note worth mentioning is that a number of ladies like to smell Dior Homme Parfum on a man. The fragrance has ‘class’ written all over it. No evident reformulations are there to my nose that are worth crying about, so you do not need to dig up old batches at extravagant prices.

Ultimately, DHP is a beast mode fragrance with a loud and potent opening. A fragrance that resonates confidence and masculinity but is also the oddest of the line. I love it though BUT I'm also a freakin man's man lol.

dzb

If you are thinking of blind buying this (like I did), it’s not something I would be comfortable wearing 99% of the time. I’m a cop and I usually wear something fresh.

I still regret selling my bottle because I liked smelling it every now and then because it’s a great scent, just a little too daring for me to wear in most situations.

eric.cius

Got this from my father when he went to Europe. In Canada there’s no way to test it and even when it comes to discounters it’s not a discount $300 after taxes and shipping.
So I got worried after reading a review below from someone with a “great” nose that it’s the same as dhi. Don’t get me wrong, I love DHI but I still have 60% of a 100ml bottle that I bought in 2012! It’s because it’s really only suitable for formal situations in cooler environments.
While it may start 90% similar they are not the same. Thank god for great noses lol

I find this more versatile because the sweetness that comes in the later stages of DHI is gone. It can get very cloying in even mild temperatures but here in the parfum edition I don’t get that at all. The lipstick that I love is there but slightly more powdery. The leather and oud give that band aid smell I love. Not a fan of rose but here it’s supportive and I don’t pick it out.
This can be formal or casual bad ass. Winter, fall, spring and even summer evenings.
Performance is amazing.
This stuff lives up to the hype.
Dior is the best designer fragrance house. My mind is made up.
11/10

RayCashhhh

Dior Homme Parfum is yet another masterpiece from Dior and Demachy. Initially this was underwhelming considering the hype, but I recently rediscovered the decant I had and wore it for the first time in over a year. In the cool fall breeze, this is composed and confident, exuding class. The bouquet of rose and iris, along with a touch of leather is very well done, Similar to the Intense, the musk mallow provides a creamy, fruity backdrop, made even smoother via the sandalwood. As with most Dior creations, the longevity and projection is not lacking. This took me a while to appreciate and understand the adoration, but I have come around to all of what Dior Homme Parfum is. 9/10

Hs6049

Got a newer batch that was produced 3 months ago. It smells fantastic and sexy. Although the projection doesn’t do it justice I am going to let it sit for a little bit so it macerates and becomes even better.

ridnovir

I got an extra 100mm bottle (fresh, sealed and new) during my trip to Paris this Ocotober. DM me if you are in US and interested.

New batch smells fantastic. It ia a must have. A salesperson at Dior Galeries Lafayette said theat this one has a real "character" (imagine in heavy French accent) and he was right.

BIGDWARF

Just got batch that is produced 3 months ago, smells AMAZING. Havent done a full wear, this is 30 min in and im smelling my arm (where I sprayed). I heard this is a frag that need some time on the shelf to get that real potencyn / power, so will revisit it after next summer.

But the smell, woooha, unreal.

neonitri

This is a masterpiece, I only have one bottle but i'm buying at least 3 more. DHP is the older brother of DHI. I love it and for me it's a 10/10

Fragrance_Viper

I adore dior homme parfum, I pray they never stop making this stuff!! To me it really is that special. I am a huge iris lover but this parfum is so classy and sexy, I'm going to get at least 2 more bottles of this. Totally agree with the comment below me, dior is really the best designer brand out there, I don't say masterpiece much but this is a masterpiece!!! 😍

hussrahal

It's not often when you're pretty deep into your fragrance journey that something so hyped actually somehow surpasses your expectations!

This is a masterpiece and could very well be the greatest fragrance of all time.
If you like lipsticky Iris, this is the greatest Iris of all time.

10/10 masterpiece from Dior, Dior is undoubtedly the best designer house and it's not really close.

I do believe that the newer ones are not the same as the older ones. Ingredients can be subbed and the formula stays the same, but IFRA still destroyed what naturals we had left and thats a fact, jack.

Im buying off-the-grid naturals right now in order to even get close to my fix.

vdog

Does anyone know if there's a difference between the 2.5 oz with the words Dior Homme written across as opposed to the latter bottles where the words are on top of each other?

It’s nice, with a pretty and thankfully unsweetened iris that can’t pass for violet and a very very smooth upscale leather. Not as challenging as I had hoped from some of the reviews, and not remotely animalic, unless all leather counts as animalic. Also sadly, not nearly as complex - it has some vintage elements but is simple and clear in the modern vein. Not especially structured. The ambrette ( a note I love) sings, and brings out the leather from the start - I’m not sure why they list it as a base note. It does have the charming quality of being somehow very big and very close at the same time? I’m having a hard time finding words to explain it…but it has both a big sillage and a very gentle sillage. Like filling the room with a Debussy piano piece turned up a bit in volume. Very gentle, very safe - in the best possible sense; it won’t hurt or assault anyone

Pretty stuff; I can’t imagine most people not liking it. As it dries down it gets almost close to a floralized L’Air de Rien? Not the same notes, but the same …way of taking space. Gently and warmly. Has …maybe a bit more development than I first gave it credit for? In that it approaches and gets almost simpler, but even prettier and more comforting

Dior Homme parfum.
The perfume many of those who are into perfumes talk about.
I have tried to order this, 3 times, when I was told that it could not be delivered from the supplier anyway.
4th time, and after 8 months of searching, I got it. I'm from Europe, and even here, it's very hard to find.
I think the scent itself is really well blended.
I agree with what many say that it is very similar to a niche fragrance.
I love this fragrance and it really lasts all day long.
Beautiful Iris, leather and rose fragrance in my opinion, which is a true masterpiece.
However, I would say that it is definitely not a scent for everyone.
In that I love iris and leather, this made it a very safe scent to blind buy when I bought it.
But overall it is not a safe blind buy.
I love the way it starts out, but even more the scent bobble that surrounds you, for several hours after you apply the scent.
For me, 3 sprays are enough to smell good all day without bothering others around you.
A true masterpiece, which in my opinion is the best in the entire Dior homme line.
I understand the hype on this one.

Love dior homme parfum. It’s a shame that it’s not easily accessible in the U.S. because this stuff is so good.

This is going to require repeated wears for me. My Dior Homme collection is complete now with this addition after two years of hunting and waiting out eBay scalpers. Honestly one of the most underwhelming first impressions I’ve ever had. DHI is a masterpiece and and is a top 10 of all time for me. This parfum leans more into the florals and to be honest has the same vibe as every rose,Oud, and saffron Middle East fragrance ever. Different compositionbut the same vibe. This is straight unisex or feminine there are no enduring masculine qualities to this fragrance that are found in the original and intense. My wife who is also into frags walked in the room and said “what smells like straight baby powder”. I hope this grows on me over time. And if not at least I can be one the above mentioned scalpers and get my money back from those of you who don’t believe this review.
