Heat Wild Orchid Beyoncé for women

I got mine in a gift set with body lotion and I must say the lotion smelled much better than the perfume, and actually lasted on my skin.

Bought it and had it just sit on my perfume shelf, in the back, for around 2 years before finally throwing it away. I love a good orchidy scent but this one just wasn’t for me. + It lasts 30 minutes at best sadly.

drys down to smell like Liquorice and i dislike Liquorice so wasnt for me.

Wild Orchid, to me, freshly sprayed is light,very light. Like, the scent from your bodywash lingering on your skin would be more noticeable.

This is what I call a "Nothing Perfume". 10+ pumps and I barely get a body spray scent. I've had hand soap that was stronger and had more staying power than this. Cacharel's Amor Amor is one of these scents to me, as well.

I mean...It's nice, but on me the fragrance is so nondescript that I can't really make out any of the notes...maaaybe I get a little coconut, but far less than one would from a tanning lotion even.

I do love the gorgeous bottle, though!

So, this is a weird one.

My OH got me this a couple years ago. At first, I hated it on me. I thought it smelled synthetically sweet and floral in the most disgusting way, sort of like magnolia (I HATE the smell of magnolia toiletries with a passion) and synthetic vanilla.

I’ve since revisited it, and I like it much more than I used to. It also now smells completely different on my skin than it used to, which just goes to show you how skin chemistry can change.

I still get some magnolia from this, but fortunately it’s been eclipsed by more of a Jasmine - honeysuckle scent. The smell of honeysuckle always reminds me of going on holiday as a kid, driving past the hedgerows of wild honeysuckle on narrow winding roads in Cornwall. It’s intensely sweet, too, like a marriage of white floral/powdery sweetness, the blast of sweetness you get from this is instant and cloying, vanilla-coconut, but it does dry down to allow the floral notes to come to the surface. It’s an unusual and unique combination of this kind of floral with this kind of sweet.

I now wear this quite a lot, because sillage and longevity are both good, and I’m really struggling to find any other perfumes that last any length of time on me, especially at this price point. It’s not a girly sweetness, not in my opinion, not with all that floral too. It doesn’t smell like a £10 marketed-at-teens perfume.

Every once in awhile I’m tempted to hunt this down and smell it again as it always confused me a little.
When I first smelt it, it was the most delightfully, sweet, girly, feminine flirty fragrance I tried but the times after that I sprayed, it gave a more floral powdery smell, though still sweet but not the same as my first experiences with it. It doesn’t seem to last very long either but it was still really nice. I felt Beyoncé’s fragrances were/are kind of underrated in the celebrity fragrance world.

Reviewing for my own reference; really disappointed in this. In my view this would be a perfect perfume without the powdery florals. I believe it's the honeysuckle that ruins it for me.

It gets slightly better as it drys down but for the most part that sharp, powdery floral sticks around. The top is a gorgeous, uniquely fruity (NOT sour screechy) tropical dose of heaven. As it develops I do get the vanilla others talk about which I *love*. It smells so comforting and feminine without being cotton candy toothache. Creamy without smelling like cereal.

And yet.

Genuinely baffled by the reviewer who said the perfect opposite of me, 'try this if you want all coconut and no floral'. I don't know how you can possibly ignore that sharp, almost allergenic note. Maybe I'm misidentifying something? It's so potent it almost feels spicy to me.

In any case, not a safe blind buy. Try it first.

Juicy, sweet, fresh, fruity floral, lovely for summer. Might not be the longest lasting fragrance but I got my bottle for about £7 so you can't complain really. An easy reach. Love it!

The initial spray smells like hairspray. The dry down is bubblegum with a hint of latex. Becomes very faint after about 30 mins. Based on the notes I thought I’d love it but it’s just meh. Glad it was a cheapie.

Very coconut-y, which I do not like. To me coconut is headache inducing and it makes me nauseous.
It's not necessarily a bad scent, but for me it was a solid pass.

Got this as a gift a few years ago just had it I sitting there on my dresser used it as a room spray until recently I decided to spray it on myself and it’s so underrated I mix it with Laura mercier coconut and one it’s yummy it’s actually such a gorgeous fragrance and long wearing very creamy I’m mad at myself for not giving it a chance and now the bottle it’s nearly gone and it’s discontinued.

This is seriously so good!

I can't believe no one has said this yet but,this reminds me so much of juicy couture-viva la juicy noir,I feel like they are veeeerrryyy similar to eachother. Its Possible they are a slight Dupe ? Maybe,or maybe not? but they are extremely similar. If you like this,you'll most likely enjoy JUICY couture-viva la juicy noir.

''Heat Wild Orchid'' [I have the parfum deodorant natural spray] is an amazing lactonic, coconutty smell that smells extremely similar to ''Cloud'' by Ariana Grande in my opinion. ''Heat Wild Orchid'' is more light, airy, fluffy and has more vanilla. ''Cloud'' is a little bit more heavy just a little bit, a little bit more marshmellowy, woodsy and I can smell the lavender as well. I would say that if you can't afford ''Cloud'' definitely try this as it is much cheaper. But don't blind buy these two perfumes!! I don't think they are not safe blind buys, as I read a lot of mixed reviews about ''Cloud''. I hope that you find my reviews helpful!

If you love this, also try BBW new mist Pastel Skies, it kinda smells like acetone for a minute but once it settles it really is very similar to this, both are beautiful, Pastel Skies has more intense musk & coconut and it's not as floral. Pastel skies notes are Coconut musk, cloud berries and pink spun sugar.

Very sweet, pleasant and average. I pick up a plastic note that I first thought was the cheap cap, but it is the juice and I smell it in my other Beyoncé fragrance. It does burn off eventually and you are left with a sweet orchid scent with not very good performance. Bought a 1oz so hoping to burn through it this summer to make room for something better.

Bubblegum scent with a hint of coconut. Very weak performance, and although the bottle is cute, the cap will pop out if you take it in your bag. I prefer this to Born in Paradise, which is thicker and fruitier, but I prefer Private Show for its very similar bubblegum vibe.
Definitely a "heat" fragrance, as in in cold weather this scent opens up differently, not in a good way... it has a rather screechy, overly synthetic orchid smell. As a blind buy, the scent itself was a hit for me, but the quality overall was a miss. Almost finishing my bottle and will not rebuy.

This is nothing special, it smells nice dont get me wrong but it is kind of boring. It gets me compliments though whenever I do wear it. Wouldnt buy again though.

Very lovely, feminine, coconutty, creamy & lactonic scent. The opening reminds me of Yes I am [Cacharel]. I dont get the burnt plastic smell that people are talking about nor any ressemblance to Hypnotic Poison. Its sad, its a beautiful fragrance but doesnt last a tiny bit. I would say 30 min to an hour max. So I need to reapply often. It could be used as a body mist although it has a better quality to it. Its girly and nice but nothing special nor unique about it. Its a generic, airy gourmand [not overly sweet] fragrance that you can wear on a day off, at home, running errands or even at the beach (the coconut gives it a tropical beachy vibe).

Also, the coconut note in it is very similar to Versace Crystal Noir. Its pretty much coconut nectar & coconut flesh.

2/10 for the bottle.

This perfume I'd say is the best one so far that Beyonce has made it's a really lovely cosy cuddly fruity femenine pretty coconutty berry vanillary perfume that smells lovely it's well made and the notes in the perfume all blend together really well and it's so nice it's a perfume you want to kp using

I think it is still a good value for money. Do it last and project? NO.... but the smell is good. Consider it to perform like a body mist. The coconut note is a bit artificial (I DO like it, but I can see why some people wouldn't). The boysenberry and pomegranate give it just a subtle tartness. Overall it's a sweet, girly, fun, fruit-floral, quite tropical, and slightly fresh scent.

This one hits hard, it initially reminds me of the smell of the campfire at a resort beach resort. It’s a tiny bit fruity briefly before the Amber and coconut shines. It then goes on to turn into a bit of a gourmand for a while reminding me a little of what Scandal smells like on the dry down. Hot thick and a little syrupy for a while. After that it started to smell like burnt marshmallows and I start to debate if I truly like this, and consider scrubbing it off. As soon as I consider the scrub down it tones into a lighter cheaper version of TF Tobacco Vanille, which I don’t hate!!! I don’t really smell too much fruit. More amber, coconut and vanilla.

It’s kind of a wild ride.

I feel like I rather reach for scandal or TF TV when I want them rather than a diluted version of them. I don’t hate but I think there are higher quality options id the same scent. But great as a budget friendly version!

Not the greatest staying power but not the worst.

This is the best flanker of Heat in my opinion. Creamy, lactonic, sweet, fruity, warm, powdery, floral vanilla scent. Most prominent on my skin is the coconut, boysenberry, orchid, and amber. I feel like you can wear this all year round; day and night. Longevity on me is insane! I am a heavy sprayer. I wore this to sleep last night and woke up still profusely smelling fruity and “coconutty”, my boyfriend enjoys this as well. I don’t believe this is a safe blind buy even though I blind bought it and instantly fell in love.

@Lovetolove: Perceptions can change drastically from one wearing to another, so if you try it again you might not get any "burnt plastic" quality. I know what you are referring to, and it's not quite so severe to me. In fact, it's a kind of "masculine" element and I'm surprised more haven't commented on this quality; I think of this as more or less a unisex scent, especially if you enjoy ones like Eternity Now for Men. There's almost a minty quality at first, which hangs around a while, and I also get the wood with light florals, along with some amber to soften/sweeten it up, but of course coconut is the main note here. For a cheap scent, it's pleasant, with a bit of something interesting going on, and since I like it, I'm glad I own a bottle, but I'd guess that it does go a bit against the typical compositions aimed at the intended demographic. I can't say I got any of the honeysuckle note.

Idk if i got an expired bottle but this was the worst thing I had ever smelled in my life. Smelt like burnt plastic. I can’t respect anyone who likes this. This was the worst gift I ever got. Rubbish.

Creamy coconut takes over and it's lovely, but doesn't last too long.

It’s just ok to me. I was not TOO impressed with this scent. I got it in a 30 ml 2 pack with another heat perfume for $30. Not bad. I can definitely smell the coconut and Amber in here giving it a nice warm feel, it could be a great perfume for year round honestly. I’ve been wearing it mostly this summer but because it’s a nice mix of fruity, tropical, warm, Amber, it works. I get some berries in there to make it sweet and feminine, and a little exotic as well. If this lasted longer it would be a better rating from me but it just DOES NOT LAST. Like putting scented water on. Has no longevity and even on clothes it’s gone after maybe 2 hours, MAYBE. I’m going to use it up and it’s so forgettable I won’t repurchase 🤷🏽♀️

An intoxicating, delicious juicy scent. I definetly pick up the coconut and berries. This scent is very warm and nice for nighttime. However, the longevity is practically non-existent. It literally lasts only a few minutes so I use it more like a body spray. It's a bit dissapointing cause the scent is absoloutely amazing.

This is such an intoxicating scent! I'm enveloped in a buttery, marshmallowy, fruity floral. (I know those aren't notes, but it's just creamy goodness.) It's too bad that longevity is 3-4 hours. It's cheap enough to keep topping off as needed, but I need to decant for a purse spray. This definitely did not last past noon.

Coconut, tropical fruits, and florals. There’s a syrupy liqueur note, as well as an undercurrent of sharp, synthetic sadness.

I was given a large large size sampler type spray pen from a fellow fragrantica friend :) and I have the orange bottle of this and will love say I LOVE THAT, but I never had really thought to buy this, I’ve seen it on sale only a handful of times and had never smelled it so I just never did buy it. I’m sad I didn’t. I seem to be really enjoying this. I’m saying it’s a strong like-verging on a the “”L” word (hehehe) it seems very nice, nothing overly complex or sophisticated, which is a-okay with me because that’s not my jam lol I love tropical, fruity, sweet, summer,light fury airy aquatic florals and fresh being my number one spot so this seems to hit the Mark-well see as the next few days pass :)

The best of this line. Very warm and inviting summer evening fragrance Doesn't have the cheap fruity body spray smell. Mostly coconut and orchid.

Very sadly, I smell no coconut or boysenberry in this, which I was really hoping for. Honestly, on my skin it smells just like Loverdose Tattoo, every time I have worn it! (Am I just weird?! Hmmm, maybe not--apparently a couple of other people feel the same as me!)

It's a nice scent, but I will admit that I am jealous of the people getting the fruity smells! Longevity isn't great, but I do get a couple good hours of wear out of this. It's a great scent for when you want to wear something for "right now", but you know you want to put something different on later (and not have your morning scent interfere).

I would agree with anyone that the scent itself is beyond amazing, but the longetivity is trully poor. Good thing it is not expensive.

i really like this fragrance. it does not last lol. like at all it disappears like 20 min in. however, the juice smells super good. it reminds me of being in high school care free lol i had this as my car “spray” when i would hot box way too often lol. it smells like a candy store. it’s sexy, and draws compliments however like i said the longevity is terrible.

I bought this as I enjoyed Heat Rush and wanted to test out more Heat perfumes. This one, I can’t say it’s my favourite, to my nose it smells like a super sweet pina colada and just reminds me of being on holiday sat by the beach. I read a lot of the comments saying it doesn’t last, on my skin it lasts about 4-5 hours but it’s just very intimate after a while. Still a beautiful scent, definitely a safe blind buy especially for the price.

This "perfume" has amazing notes, the most beautiful coconut I've ever smelled. Sadly, poor sillage and longevity makes me want to find an exact dupe in form of more durable juice. I could even pay more than 15 EUR Wild Orchid cost me in my country. I used a 50 ml bottle within a week. Performance is worse than a supermarket-quality body mist.

Can you imagine if the descriptions companies attach to their fragrances were spot on, accurate? “...enticing, mouth-watering fragrance that emits a fierce, feminine energy...”
I just reviewed Rihanna Kiss, which smells really close to this stuff, and so I’ll say the same thing about this: cheap shampoo. Both Heat Wild Orchid and Kiss are the kinds of fragrances you smell and think, “wow, pretty... oh, nope... well, maybe... yeah, no...”. Not bad, but not good.

I smell the coconut when I 1st spray it, and the other notes give it some character; but the dry down to me is mostly super sweet vanilla cupcakes. It is like jjjust under cloyingly sweet; so I wouldn't spray myself silly with this. This time I'm getting a little bit more of the berries peeking out . Overall, it's nice, but it's just not that special to me. I'd wear this if I wanted to tease my boyfriend by smelling edible. It would get me into some trouble smelling this "yummy" on a date or at a club. Lol. But this isn't a scent I'd wear to please myself, cuz I need something more interesting Honey!

I tried this and "Heat Rush," and they both smell almost identical on my skin. They have this extremely artificial, plastic base except this one smells like cheap coconut plastic and Rush smells like cheap tropical fruit plastic. I'll give this one another chance because I think the bottle is kitschy and gorgeous, but at the moment I'm not sure where that 3.8 rating is coming from.

This is probably one of Beyonce's best fragrances. Its a really cosy smelling orange and cookie cream smell with a light hint of coconut.
Longevity is about 5-6 hours and it projects very well and has gained me a few compliments which is always good! In the UK you can find the 100ml for £9.99 in local pharmacies and savers & superdrug. For the price its a really good cheapie!

My 30+ perfume collection of cheapies,designer and niche.. but this really stands out! It's such a beautiful gourmand but not heavy or cloying sweet. I love wearing it in the summer,as it has a great flower-coconut combo. This is not pretentious, but lovely, feminine and sexy affordable scent.

scent: 7/10. quite good especially for cold weather i love everything but that synthetic coconut note it kinda ruined it a bit for me

bottle: 4/10. cant even hold it properly to spray it and it's annoying to take with you anywhere because of the awkward shape

longevity: not even 10 minutes seriously :( unless i smell close to the skin then i can smell a faint scent. emphasis on faint

sillage: well it's literally gone after i've just sprayed it so i honestly cant smell it on me after a minute 😭😭😭

price: 10/10 good thing i only paid 15 bucks for this. would buy again if this lasted at least 2 hours because the smell is nice and while i dont like the synthetic coconut smell it's not that bad that it made me totally dislike it but what's the point of wearing a perfume I can't smell 😭

and lastly... no, i see zara ultra juicy up there and they are not even close. this has a strong coconut smell that ultra juicy doesn't have that. they're not even similar.

When I first sprayed this, it smelled like orange crème biscuits to me. Which was strange as there are no orange notes in it! Then i realized it’s actually the coconut, and it’s a very creamy coconut mixed with the tart boysenberry & pomegranate. The tartness stays throughout..definitely on par with the sweetness from the coconuts. This could easily be a summery cocktail of coconut crème, tangy fruits & vanilla rum. The orchid is soft and shy in this one. Coconut lovers will enjoy this. Overall, it’s a clean kind of scent, as it does not smell like a perfume at all . More like a tropical pina colada drink plus some hair product type of scent. Quite lovely!

This is great--sexy, deep, musky, coconut--but lasts 2 hours MAX. No longevity here. I agree, it's the best of the line so it's such a shame it lasts for no time at all.

There are similarities between this and Dior Hypnotic Poison and with Christina Aguilera By Night, but those two are darker. This one has the root beer note but is brighter. Very nice!

OMG this smells so bad on me, i put it on sale right away. DO not blind buy this. I had high hopes, but smells like some cheap plastic coconut cream, yuck. Its a NO_NO for my skin.

This honestly blew me away when I first tried it, i literally hated beyonce's other perfumes with a passion so i wasnt expecting much with this one, however this really hit the mark for me when I first tried it, there is something really unique about this perfume, someone else described this as a sugary coconut with a hint of orchid and I definately agree with the sugary coconut part (not a gourmand sugar) but there is something else in this that really is SO addictive..I'm not sure if it's the orchid like the other reviewer mentioned I cant quite tell which note it is but it makes this scent very special. I wore this for a while but I think I wore it so much that I got used to it and started taking it for granted but I've recently come back to it and cant believe that I let this little baby go.

The lasting power is literally abysmal and the sillage is poor too but if you spray on clothes it lasts a long time, this is definately one celeb fragrance that is worth its price in my opinion, cheap celeb scents really arent my thing unless they are atleast good and this is..Rihanna rebl fleur being the only other that I fell in love with. Thisisnt complex whatsoever but there is definately something very special about it x

In the opening, Wild orchid smells like a floral fruity sweet (but not sugary) shampoo.
This phase lasts just a minute on the skin, while on paper and clothes it takes more time to develop.

The evolution goes with some sour fruit, hanged to the floral part.
After, it will shift into something a bit woody, slightly bittersweet: I don't see bitter almonds in the pyramid, so it must be a (wrong) type of poisonous coconut, paired with well blended deeper base notes.

If you like Dior Hypnotic Poison, there's something in common between these two, as I'm comparing them side to side in this exact moment.
Of course, sillage and longevity aren't even on the same chart, let alone being compared, but the deep woody bittersweet drydown of Wild Orchid definitely belongs to the same family.

Longevity is quite poor, sillage is weak, but this may be due to winter.
However, I'm not going to keep this around until summer, as I deeply dislike that pungent bittersweet almondy note that's in there.

I have the 100ml bottle of Wild Orchid. This is lovely.
From the first spray in my skin it is so well blended. It smells smooth, creamy and cosy. Its perfect for the cold weather.
The top, middle and base notes are well blended. I can smell the coconut but its not tooth rottingly sweet to my nose. I can't smell the pomegranate but I'm aware of a quiet fruit note. Its straight to the Tonka and musk for me. Its a well rounded, well blended perfume.
I will see how it performs during the day, but I'd be happy to wear it anytime of the day/night.

I absolutely LOVE this! On me, this smells very similar to Korrigan by Lubin. Honestly! Although they have no listed notes in common, I checked reviews for both fragrances (here and elsewhere) and found some folks describe Heat Wild Orchid as “boozy” and several people use “coconutty” to describe Korrigan. It's interesting how differently people's olfactory systems and skin chemistries shape our perception of certain fragrances, not to mention the price point of the fragrance itself. Go figure.

Heat Wild Orchid is the only Beyonce fragrance I've purchased again and again (I prefer the 1oz/30ml size for ease of spraying), and what a bargain it is! Great for all seasons, any occasion.

I really wanted to like this one, but unfortunately it's not my cup of tea.

I hate to say generalisations like this, but to me, this smells 'cheap'. What I mean is, it smells over-the-top sweet, with no bitter/sour notes to balance it out and the coconut paired with the orchid gives this scent a body-spray vibe to me.

I think this can be excellent as an easy-to-wear, throw it on and forget about it - sort of scent for warm summer days or summer evenings. I could also imagine enjoying this as a sweet comfort scent for staying-in nights.

Also, I want to be quick to add: there is absolutely nothing wrong with this perfume smelling 'cheap', or like a body spray, since in fact - it is cheap! And it sure has better longevity and sillage than any body spray you could get. I am pretty sure that VS body sprays are pricier than this perfume. If I had to choose between those or this, I would certainly choose Wild Orchid anyday.

A beautiful coconut floral musky scent. A little similar to the key by justin bieber, but this is more tropical.

I've never explored Beyonce's fragrances after trying the original Heat years ago and finding it waaaay too heavy. However, I was intrigued by the top note of coconut in this one, so I blind ordered it. So glad I did! It's a great replacement for Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers G which is going for $100 a bottle on eBay since it's been discontinued. It's really hard to find a coconut perfume that doesn't smell like a car air freshener or like it's made for a 14-year-old. I can't stop smelling my wrist! It's coconutty but not too sweet. Smells natural, not synthetic ala Bath & Body Works. It's got some type of warmth to it (hence "Heat") that balances out the sweetness keeping it from being candy-like. It's more grown up. A lovely tropical fragrance, even though I can see myself wearing this year round, and the bottle is gorgeous. Great job on this one Bey!

its a very sexy, tropical sweet smell, quite lasting. i hate the bottle though, so not handy when you want to spray it.

"Oh...lovely!"was the remark made by a man as I entered a shop. It was evening and the air-conditioning was on full throttle. He nodded briefly in approval at me, I was wearing "Heat Wild Orchid."

Another time as I jogged down High Street with the summery Caribbean breeze beating at my body I heard a guy at a store window say...."she wearing Beyonce, yeah like she wearing Beyonce". One day as I entered a puja shop with a blast of AC at the door I heard the owner, a very elderly guy, say "wow...too sweet," I thought he was talking about my perfume but I felt fresh and confident so I didn't care.

I get most of the notes now but I've upped the ante on the amount of sprays too. At least I know it is being noticed and I love that. Still think it needs more perfume but cest la vie! This one seems to love cooler environments though. Enjoy!

UPDATE: Beyonce's not kidding about the aphrodisiacal qualities of the butterfly orchid in this juice. Sprayed on this gyal and went to the grocery store.....then I sensed a sort of bright feeling.... and noticed that I was looking around at the guys in the store. Nonplussed, I wondered what was going on until I remembered I hell spritzed this.....hello!......I'm a bit on the shy side so it HAD to be this perfume. I enjoyed my discovery since I am always complaining that Beyonce Parfums are too watered down! Perhaps 8 to 10 sprays are enough of this one unless its date night, ha ha!

Kind of smells like coconut milk, but in a good way! At first I didn’t really like it as I think the coconut is slightly overbearing in the initial spray but it does have a nice dry-down of floral notes and woody notes with just that right hint of coconut. The fragrance lasts a good while but the silage is low, so maybe this is good perfume for working environments, but maybe it’s a little much for casual wear. The votes suggest that this is a scent for daytime, but I think it’s more suitable for summer nights as it has that hint of sophistication. Overall, it’s in the back of my vanity, I don’t wear it too often, just once in a while. It’s better than the original Heat but not as good as Heat Rush in my opinion (These are the only ones I have tried) but it does last longer! I recommend it to people looking for a good summer night fragrance or those part of the BeyHive! 🐝

I love this one on my little girl. She is nearly 4 y.o and loves all ladys stuff inc perfume. The scent is very girly and nice, sweet nad yummy with the most lovely orchid ;) must try for all ages;)

I smelled sweet caramel and orchid. Now that I checked the notes I see that it was coconut, not caramel I found. Smells quite generic, quite "drugstore perfume" like.

There's something so sparkly and boozy about it! Smells like a sweet alcoholic cocktail. So the sweetness is not completely basic because of those qualities, quite nice for the summer.

I own two of the Heat perfumes, this one and Heat Rush.
I also like the original Heat and would like to try Heat Seduction.
Heat Kissed, Shimmering Heat, Midnight Heat, Mrs Carter Show are a complete miss for me, only the last being pleasant but nothing special.

The bottle design... I only have 30 ml bottles of any of the Heat perfumes because I like the gift set that comes with the body lotion and the shower gel and because I find the small bottles very cute. I HATE the design of the 100 ml bottle. I find it massive and bulky and I just don't have enough space for such an eyesore.

Heat Wild Orchid is a sweet, comforting, winter fragrance, it smells like orchid and coconut and I find it lovely and uplifting. It is not a longevity or sillage bomb, it is just a very lovely winter fragrance. I can definitely smell the coconut though, but more like coconut water, it is very well blended with the rest of the perfume :)

This one is a like. Just barely passes the "meh" bar for me. This one most definitely does not scream "quality." It smells kind of cheap. However...yes, it does smell nice. It's just very...how shall I say...opposite of exciting.

I call these perfumes "kind-of" perfumes. It's kind of floral. It's kind of sweet. It's kind of creamy. It's kind of coconutty. Sometimes I can detect coconut, sometimes I cannot. It's kind of milky. It's kind of fruity. It's ALMOST a great fragrance. But it just barely gets to the finish line for even being good.

It's a very "kind of," perfume and very "almost"...a bunch of things. Beyoncé's original perfume "Heat" scared me out of buying ANY Beyoncé perfumes for years. I finally took a risk a couple years ago with "Rise" and enjoyed that one with it's clean, easy-going, musky vibe. I also just a couple months ago bought "Shimmering Heat" which is a BEAUTIFUL and unique unisex, summer fragrance. So Beyoncé's fragrances are extremely "hit or miss" for me and I don't feel that a lot of effort or "thought" is put into making some of her perfumes.

To end with something positive...I consider it a win that I even like a couple of her perfumes...because when I first smelled the mess that is "Heat"...I couldn't IMAGINE I would ever buy any other Beyoncé fragrance...let alone like any of them.

Scent Itself - 7/10

Projection - 1-2 feet depending on amount of sprays. Only projects for about an hour...then is a skin scent.

Longevity - 2-3 hours. As said above...only projects about 60-90 minutes.

Overall Score - 6.5/10

The Bottle: It looks like the original (suppose to look like fire but i don't see it) but pink. A nice bottle to have for a bottle collection.

Inside the bottle:
Creamy and fruity are the words to describe this perfume. When first sprayed you get a creamy scent of coconut with orchids and boysenberry. When dried you notice a little bit of amber, wood and musk scent.Longevity is okay i would say maybe half the day.Sillage is moderate but more on the softer side.

Overall:
This perfume should be a must for someone who is a coconut lover or for someone who likes gourmand scents. Great scent for a beginner and someone who is sensitive to perfume. I would say this one is the best scent out of the heat line (my opinion).

I got this as a christmas present from my brother last year. I love its sweet and creamy aura. I get a slight smell of coconut but mostly i smell vanilla and something else I can't put my finger on it but I really like it. On me it lasts 4-6 hours.

Good one. I usually don't like sweet and coconut scents, but this one is quite pleasant and fun!
I think it's more suitable for a young woman :)

Ah yes, the phenomenon of "celebrity fragrances"has allowed people who make a little money to smack their name onto an otherwise mediocre scent and have it sell anyway....

Where was I? Ah, Beyonce's "Heat Wild Orchid" smells like very sweet hot berries, I got the vision of red berries and I am not surprised its boysen, although its not a fruit we find here in the tropics so I just thought "sugary berry".

This is a skin scent guys, it does not project well like most of Beyonce's offerings, besides "Midnight Heat" on me. The coconut note....I do not smell. I am surprised its in the top tier and I do get a marked creaminess from the perfume too. Its an innocuous scent and I get the idea one has to spray quite a lot to get projection. Longevity is about 4 to 6 hours and by then it dries down to a nice powder.

I think a teenager could wear this! I won't buy it but congratulations to those who wear and love it!

UPDATE: Ok ok, so I went back on my word to myself and bought "Heat Wild Orchid." The thing is, I LOVE orchids okay. Hence, it was tempting....and this fragrance goes at a fraction of the cost in our local beauty shop, in other places it's $350TT-400TT and I got it for $149TT, I had to get it. Its light, orchidy and sweet, mellow and vanillary. I wish they could up on the musk though. Not a strong fragrance, like a shy woman's sexuality. I am yet to test it because you can't really tell by just spritzing your wrists. Got to wear it on the pulse points. In any regard....sigh.... it's mine. Although light it's not for young girls (yep I've changed my mind on the first opinion too). I bought it before our national budget got read, ha ha!

UPDATE TWO: I really spritzed up today and I must say. These fragrances need ENERGY. Please, whomosever is making these scents STOP WATERING THEM DOWN. As an orchid lover this has shades of the orchid note in Britney Spears "Fantasy." This has greatness potential but it needs more OOMPH and that means more PERFUME and less water! Sillage is arm's length for the first two hours, after which it mellows down to a creamy skin scent which last 8 hours. For me, her bests are "Heat" and "Midnight Heat" for sure.

Have this in a 100ml, I'd be lying if I said I've used it over 5 times...
I wonder why though, I also have heat, & heat rush, & midnight heat & pulse nyc. I had rise, but tossed it out because I couldn't smell a thing!

This smells very nice & sweet but, like Heat, its longevity & sillage are terrible. More like a body mist. Its a shame to put time in to making a perfume that smells good yet completely fail to make sure it preforms as a perfume.

Lovely scent but just doesn't last long enough! Projection is pretty poor also. The original Heat is still Beyonce's best scent for me.

to me this smells exactly like tressemme spray on intensive hair treatment. a smell which set off my vomiting in early pregnancy due to the heavy Tonka. this is not to say it isn't pleasant, just very Tonka/coconut heavy and too much for my delicate constitution

Lovely scent! Just wish it lasted longer. I even wear it with the shower gel and lotion but still, it’s gone within an hour of spraying. But what you do smell is great! Slightly tangy from the boysenberry and pomegranate, sweet from coconut water. This, to me does not smell like coconut because there is no coconut in it. Coconut water is very different from actual coconut The brief dry down is deepened ever so slightly by the musk and light orchid but retains its freshness to the very end.

Delicious coconut note in this; sweet, smooth and creamy like vanilla. This perfume also has soft, slightly powered floral notes from the Orchid and better longevity, and sillage than the other Heats by Beyonce.

Girly and light but a very nice fragrance for the price, picked this up for au$17

Only negetive is that it smells and acts more like an Eau de Toilette despite claiming to be an Eau de Parfum.

A lovely, light and easier to wear fragrance. This is a little floral, but mainly I get an airy coconut water smell. A little more watery than traditional "tropical" fragrances which means it is suitable for all year round. A nice casual daytime scent. Lasting power is quite poor. I get around 2-3 hours at most.

I love the smell of orchids, boysenberries and coconut! Mom, I and Kianna wears it!

Hum...I got this perfume for Christmas this year in a three piece gift set which includes the perfume,body wash+lotion.I have to say it's quite different from anything iv'e worn before in a unique way.I don't know if it's my body chemistry or what but it seems to smell different on me today than it did yesterday when i wore it, in a good way though. It would be even nicer if it had more staying power, but layering it with the lotion helps it out.To sum this review up i'll just say this perfume is sweet n' girly &
very light&nice.

Why all the hate for this one?
I blind bought it last week as it was going out for 20 bucks and I love midnight heat so was went for it even after reading that its just pure coconut from a lot of other reviews. Its fresh and clean smelling,with the coconut putting a cool freshness to it,rather that an overly sweet sugar smell that comes with most coconut fragrances. The orchid is there,just enough to give it that signature warm sweetness that's in all the Heat scents. It lasts a fair few hours and dries right down to a lovely sweet creaminess that is perfect for a warm sunny day
Edit: combined this with a little of jlow sunkissed glow, delicious! a rich fruity tropical summer small, and it increases the longevity of both hugely also

The sweetness is so strong !creamy heady coconut and berry ice cream!nothing else but sugary fruit and sweet shop aroma !

The scent is very unique, i can't name anything that smells like Heat Wild Orchid wich i really love, but it's a shame that has a very poor projection, almost 10 minutes and it's gone! Even a plain body lotion has a better staying power than this!
I feel very disappointed because i collect Beyonce perfumes and from all in the Heat line this the 2nd best perfume but the staying power is a shame :/

I get creamy coconut and light floral notes within the duration of this fragrance on my skin which was not long at all. I put this fragrance on right before I left to pick a friend up and 5 minutes later as I'm driving, I sniff my wrist and I could barely smell it. Once I got back, I was able to put another fragrance and completely mask the very light scent that was left of this fragrance on me. I didn't have high expectations for this fragrance because I've already heard that Beyoncé fragrances didn't perform well but I was just curious to see how it smelled. I wouldn't waste no more than $12 on this fragrance, or any heat fragrance of that matter.

Bottle wise, it could be the distant cousin of Yves Saint Laurent's Elle, based on the tall neck and bright pink hue.
Smell wise, it could be the baby of Britney's Maui Fantasy and The Body Shop's Coconut! It's a coconut beach/holiday perfume, there's gourmand coconuts, there's coconut mixed with a fellow tropical fruit, and then there's smoothie coconut. Beyoncé's coconut falls into the third category, the name 'wild orchid' is deceiving, when there's nothing floral about this at all! Try if you want coconut, skip if you want floral.

This is the third of Beyonce's perfumes I've bought and it was also a blind-buy (based on reviews).

I'm pleasantly surprised and really like this scent. It's a soft, creamy, warm, fruity floral, that's also sweet without being nauseating.

Sillage and longevity are not good, so consider buying an atomizer so you can reapply it. I bought the 100ml flanker and have no desire to carry something that bulky in my bag.

I have to agree with some reviewers when they say there's something synthetic about this scent. Not sure which one of the notes is the culprit, but once it dries down (which happens fairly fast), the scent is beautiful and warm.

This was a great blind-buy purchase, but I won't be repurchasing it based on its poor lasting power.

I was not expecting to like it, but I do. It is a very nice scent. Ok, it smells synthetic, but it is agreeable, comforting and at the same time also a bit uplifting.

Anyway, Wild Orchid is something nice to have, if you like sweet, young perfumes that don't smell like candy. For someone looking for a cheap vanilla fragrance that is not overpowering, this one is a must test.
Sillage is good, longevity not so much.

I shocked myself for liking this. I guess I'm not a classy broad after all by being lured in by the fruity, coconut opening this sweet smell delivers. This is a summer scent for girls and women who don't take themselves too serously and wear what they like no matter how generic some people might brand them. I once read from a fragrance book a description that a particular perfume would please the velour group. I had that fragrance and I suppose I have to drag some velour out of my closet to be be able to enjoy that and this perfume. All in all, I didn't buy Beyonce's Heat Wild Orchid because it lacked in longevity but I thought it was pleasant and fun, made to please the majority of people and it certainly pleased me.

I don't know which flowers, but likely an underlying accord.

The accords look right,I feel they are more one dimensional than the more pricey counterparts for example on my skin, la vie set belle etc is more 3D, it s'more complex and lasts longer.

If you're on A budget then perfect as a Dupe for LVEB or black opium and flankers, anything big fruity creamy vanilla etc.
It's not the same mind you but big difference between Beyonce being $30-35 for 100 ml, compared to $235 ish for a high end 100ml in a department store.

I have most of the Beyonce fragrances so will write up dupe possibilities on those reviews.

Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with this. It is almost like there is one note in it that just makes me cringe; however, I continue to wear it bc everyone loves then scent. I really don't know how to describe it. In my opinion, it is a very floral and fruity perfume with one or two ingredidents that make it stand out. Whether that is in a good way or not is personal preference. I will continue to use it anyways, but I would advise you to buy Heat or Heat Rush first if you are new to Queen B perfumes.

On my quest for coconut I came across this little beauty. I would describe this one as my sugary, berried coconut. A "pink", sweet, candied coconut. Absolutely delicious and addictive.This juice is not a "suntan lotion" vibe, more like a decadent dessert. I can see the similarities between this and FCUK friction however that moment is fleeting. When I apply both to each wrist they both develop in their own unique way. I'm so happy my skin chemistry agrees with Wild Orchid. My absolute favorite of the Beyoncé line.

I don't know how does butterfly orchid smells but to my nose it's something like vanilla orchid.milky coconut-creamy vanilla combo reminds me aquolina gold sugar,the only difference is orange in gold sugar which is replaced with something berry like but nicer than typical berries(guess it's a mixture of boysenberry and pomegranate)in beyonce heat orchid.I like Beyonce orchid more than gold sugar because I sometimes find orange-coconut combo kind of odd but I think coconut goes with berries better
Beyonce heat wild orchid is a combination of gourmand coconut(not suntan coconut)with vanilla orchid,a touch of fruity,berry like smell and creamy white florals.it's very soft and creamy dreamy and delicious.I'm sure it would be really enjoyable as daily or vacation fragrance in summers but now that I'm wearing it,is a non cold winter day and I find it lovely
It's not potent but not as weak as the chart suggests.it stays 4-5 hours on my skin with soft to moderate sillage.I bought a 3.4 oz bottle for 22$ and I think it worthes every penny
If you want a soft,sweet,creamy scent wearable all year round give it a try

Woman brings pack of pink mini cupcakes and drops and drops them off at her daughter's class. Woman hurrys quickly leaves. That is Beyonce Heat Wild Orchid. This perfume is safe crowd pleaser. But I feel Beyonce was lazy with this perfume... Another "pink vanilla." Boring. And what coconut berries? A quick Double Bubble Bubble gum note in the top, then ending in pink mini cupcake note. Then it disappears.

I found this at TJ Maxx (where else) for $4.99 and I grabbed it! I remember smelling this quite a while ago and liking it, I just never got around to purchasing it until now.

This smells so nice! For me, it opens up with the orchid and berry / pomegranate, then there's the musk. There has got to be something wrong with my nose because I can't pick up any coconut like I think I should! If it's there, it's extremely faint. I love the scent of coconut, so I'm disappointed that I can't smell it more. It's still a great scent that doesn't hit you hard. The downside to this? It doesn't last at all. I mean, AT ALL. I got maybe 45-60 minutes, max out of this, which is a shame because the scent is beautiful. I really wanted the same lasting power of Heat Rush. That one lasts all day on me!

This is a feel good vibe, easy to wear , likable perfume.i like the tropical vibe makes me happy and has one of my favs: Coconut which is sweet and juicy.
I would drink some coconut juice from coconuts,sunbave,make a trip to Hawai get a tan on a sunny day and enjoy the sigh, the waves the sun and the sand.
In a shop i was smelling perfumes and sprayed this on and the next week i bought it.It doesn't last long but i reaply and it is soft and satin like on my skin.As well has a cofee smell to it which i like.

I was looking so forward to this perfume because the notes sound so good BUT when I finally was able to get this perfume, I was so underwhelmed and disappointed. First of all, this perfume lasts maybe two hours at most. The lasting power is so terrible that it turns me off of wearing this scent altogether. I also was expecting the scent to smell like berries and coconut but all I smell is sweet tarts. So I'm pretty disappointed in this scent but I will keep spraying it just so I can get rid of it.

Still looove this one and I've now got it in "deo perfume" and I get the unlisted vanilla note even with this bottle... Vanilla/coconut + orchid.

This is the one perfume I don't think I'd wear outside of my house or while I'm out and about. I remember initially, I did like it a lot, but it isn't something I can still say today. I still enjoy the smell of it minus the coconut part, but I feel this is more of a casual perfume or something you wear before bed. I'm a big fan of Beyonce's perfumes, but I can't say I'm a real big fan of this one.

This should most definitely be called Wild Coconut instead of Wild Orchid. I do love coconut though, so I'm not disappointed! At first it smells like some BBW coconut fragrance I can't think of at the moment...but once it mellowed out, I get coconut with some very light wafts of sweet floral. So like 95% coconut 5% soft floral (I guess orchid, it's so faint I can't really tell). That soft floral note is what keeps this from smelling entirely like a body splash, which is what gives it a LOVE from me! Perfect summer daytime scent!! Lasting power isn't great though, so I end up putting like 3-4 sprays on my body, one on my hair & one on my shirt. Doing this, I could still smell it like 5-6 hours later. I have a lot of fun layering this over different lotions--I have EO coconut lemon body lotion that really mixes well with this fragrance. If you're a coconut lover, this is a must have!

Wonderful!!! Wonderful gorgeous coconut! But with, very importantly, boysenberry and pomegranate....and the lovely lovely flowers! And the beautiful woods, musk and amber. A fabulous combination! I just love it. I love all of Beyonce's perfumes so far (and I'm not young!) - I'm about half-way through the range I think! Really strong and enveloping and sensual. Terrific. Longevity and sillage beautiful. All day and still faintly there in the morning. Yummy perfume.

I purchased wild orchid last year. Coz then i sprayed the tester i suddenly love it. I smell the coconut with little vanilla that mix in boysenberry. Its sweet and fruity for me. Everyone wil love it. I think but not the sillage and longevity. Bcoz after i sprayed it. Its gone like a wind after a minutes.. I love the drydown bcoz its smells like a fruity liqour. Let say a coconut wine..i bought a 100ml for 25$. I love the bottle. In this flanker its not like the original bottle tht dark in the bottom and clear on top lid. This one the lid is dark purplely magenta tht fade go down. Its like a pink transparent. The box is fine. Cheap cardboard. Thts all

I have really been wanting to try some of Beyonce's fragrances for a really long time now so i recently bought a gift set with three of her perfumes in 15ml bottles Heat Rush, Rise and this one Heat Wild Orchid,first of i love orchid as a note in perfumes and i like coconut but maybe it's because of the fact that this contains coconut water and not pure coconut that i do not smell to much coconut in this. To me this smells like a sweet gourmand fragrance that is very creamy and i really like it a lot and it doesn't smell to young but instead rather feminine but still sophisticated. To me this is a summer fragrance. The sillage and projection isn't that good and unfortunetely it doesn't last long on my skin which is a real shame because i really like this scent.

Jesus! I never thought I will like celebrities perfumes, not that they are bad, but I am used to more classic options. Today I found it in a local perfume/cosmetics store and I gave it a try.

It's so dark and sweet. Definitely a night time fragrance for 20's, 30's and hardly 40's. It's a bit flirty but serious at the same time. Like Beyonce I guess. Maybe I could call it a more simple and less expensive edition for the lovers of Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid.

I can smell orchid, opening is sweet and slightly synthetic. I couldn't belive it has coconut but for sure it gives that something without being noticeable. Berries and soft honeysuckle do the work too. Musky/ambery/very soft woody base, it's ok. All in all, I like it but it's not super complex. Longevity is perfect and sillage good enough. You can even wear it at summer heat although it's gourmandise/orchid type.

I couldn't agree more with the last person who left a comment. No useless sugarness in here, only creamy coconut with some feminine orchid. I finally got this and my happiness is infinite. The bottle is so seductive and the colors too. Love love love it. I can't stop sniffing my wrist :D Well, it doesn't last forever, but the price i bought it for, was irresistible and I have no right to be pretentious :)

I'm a coconut perfume lover so I blind bought on clearance price. I am impressed with the composition. It's fruity and creamy and musky without being overly sweet and milky and heavy musky. The opening is so fruity and bright. The coconut is actually rather dreamy during the dry down. The musk is light I'm going to say innocent only because it's draped in creaminess of the coconut and flowers. I can see the compare to viva la juicy, more like the noir though. Also does definately remind me of VS 2014 sexy in the white bottle. I don't smell tropical mixed drink. Maybe tropical smoothie? No tartness, all creamy. This is actually a really well don't perfume! I do not really smell it wafting around me but it's holding the creamy coconut and soft floral musk about 2 inches from skin. I have a picky nose. I can easily say "it's too....." about most perfumes I smell. I'm actually quite surprised how much I like this. I plan to spray this on both me and my clothes to see if it will hold all the notes between cloth and skin. It kind of reminds me of the new liquid fabric softeners that snuggle? makes, not a particular one, but comparing to the soft clean creamy floral scent of these. Which I love.

I really love this scent, but it doesn't last on my skin at all. Well, maybe an hour. After that it disappears completely.

My mom has this too and she also said that this doesn't last on her skin. It's a shame because we both really do like this scent.

I can see how this one is nice to noses that happen not to be mine, but it just doesn't work for me. I find the combination of notes a bit strange, I don't find the coconut works in this composition, but that's just me.

I saw this perfume today at Chemist Warehouse and I sprayed some on my arm, it reminds me of Katy Perry's Meow. Except this Wild Orchid perfume is somewhat stronger and it smells plasticky, I don't even know how else to describe. It's a dislike from me, I like Beyonce but I don't like any of her perfumes. The only Beyonce scent I like is the blue/green version of this perfume (I forget the name of it though!)

Why, oh why has it taken me so long to get this??..I have looked and looked and read reviews, it's been in my basket so many times and then at the last minute decided "maybe another day" Well today was that day..it arrived this morning and it is a holiday in a bottle..Gorgeous!
Fruity and coconutty in perfect balance.. love it!

It's beautiful. The soft, buttery coconut scent is noticeable immediate. The skin musk is sensual, lovely and comes in with the rich, warm boysenberry tones. Orchids dancing. Pomegranates mingling with honeysuckles. Slight notes of blonde woods that round out this gorgeous scent. It's office friendly, inoffensive, soft, lovely fragrance. If you like soft white florals with rich berry and pomegranate/creamy coconut milk give this a go.

I smell a lot of coconut, a big dash of vanilla... And Play-Doh :-(
I love Midnight Heat, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass on this one.

This one is very fruity with a tropical fruit cocktail explosion at the start then mellowing out to amber coconutty woodsy skin scent at the end! I just love this and think its the best of the Heat line :) and it lasts a while on my skin which is unusual as I cant seem to keep perfumes on me! Bottle colour is nice but shape is a bit meh for me! Top marks for Beyonce!

I like this scent, it's warm and quite sweet with that coconut smell. It also smells like orchids.

Say what you like but I LOVE this perfume. I wear it mostly when I wish to smell romantic. It is sweet, feminine and playful. When I wear this, I feel happy. It puts me in a good mood. Seems to have seductive powers on men, lol. Delicious and yummy…hmmm..

Beyonce out did even herself with this one. First off, i LOVE the bottle! its so pretty and my real name is Violet so of course i like anything purple or Violet. it smells like straight up coconut and thats fine by me. I have so many perfumes that say they have coconut in them but i dont smell any coconut. the cocnut smells like it was toasted. i would layer with with snow kissed suger by bath and body works.

I find that this is a very lovely scent however the longevity is definitely a downer. I pretty much just use it as a body mist because just wont stay on my skin after merely half an hour. This is definitely one of the nicer sweet fruity fragrances that are out in the market. Just wished it would just last longer.

To me, Heat Wild Orchid is all coconut. Yes, the orchid part is there but the creamy/oily quality of the flower is kind of lost in the midst of the coconut. Now, I'm not a fan of coconut in perfumes, but this is tolerable. It's not 'tropical' coconut, more like 'soapy' coconut. I don't detect any of the fruits, just sweet slightly oily coconut. (Then again, it could be my bias against coconut. Can you tell that I'm not a fan of coconuts? Coconuts.)

It's an okay scent, not very edgy. The sillage and longevity are not spectacular, but, for the price, they're alright.

I love beyonce's heat, heat rush and heat kiss, so thought I would love this too.
I was wrong......... Starts of pretty floral, not too sweet just lovely, then goes to an almost bubble gum smell, which isn't too bad either,....... But the dry down is awful!
A horrible musk, synthetic quality, cheap perfume on an old man. So bad I had to wash it off.........induced a headache....what a pity.... I suggest you try a sample like I did before you buy a bottle...... Save your money and stick to the dark red bottles or Heat.

When i saw the bottle on fragrantica, i immediately wanted to try it because of the gorgeous color. It's probably my favorite heat bottle yet. However, when i started reading the reviews.. i lost interest because of the negative reviews. I kind of forgot about it for a while, but was in walmart last night, and they had the tester available. I sprayed it, and immediately FELL IN LOVE. I bought two of the gift sets on the spot.. one for a backup because i knew i was going to be using a lot of it. I wore it to bed last night, and have been wearing it all day today. It's one of the best scents i have ever tried.. i am stunned that so many people could dislike this. I am very picky when it comes to scents and there are very few i would consider favorites, but this one immediately soars to the top. The smell is almost identical to a bath & body works handsoap called "Paradise Coconut" that i have been obsessed with and missing for years. It was a limited edition handsoap in 2012.. and they never brought it back. It was one of those soaps that i had to keep smelling my hands all day long.. and ever since it's demise, i have been searching for something similar for years.. but never found anything. Finally, after 3 years, i found the perfect replacement last night in this scent. The only difference is that this scent is slightly more floral/spicy. Heat Wild Orchid has a floral/creamy background while Paradise Coconut had a very crisp background.. but the coconut note and the base of the scent is a dead on dupe. The scent is extremely long lasting on me.. 12+ hours. Which is weird because i have problems with most scents lasting on me. I didn't think Beyonce could make a perfume that could surpass Heat Rush.. but she did it with this one. After HATING Midnight Heat & Rise i wasn't expecting much, but this scent is perfection. The definition of summer, can't wait until the hot months to start wearing it full time, but i am definitely going to enjoy it the rest of the winter as well.

I purchased this scent a while back and had placed it with my 'ok, but nothing special' pile.
Recently however I had sprayed it liberally over myself before bed and off to sleep I went. Next morning, on entering my dressing room, I smelled a delicious sweet coconutty scent. Realising this had to be the Wild Orchid overspray, I sprayed some on a scarf and hung it in the dressing room as a tester.
For days now the dressing room has smelled divine. Quite unlike the scent that develops on my skin.
Longevity on fabric is enormous and this is now how I now wear my Wild Orchid, sprayed on my clothing or a scarf.
Co-operation. :D

That being said, this perfume smells horrible. What is it about this, Midnight Heat, and Rise that smell so bad? I think her scent tastes might have changed after she had Blue. I know she approves the final fragrance so I don't know what the heck is going on. I hope Heat Kissed is better than the crap she's been putting out lately.

I loved it at first but I'm getting a little tired of it now even though I still enjoy it. It has a slightly plastic/artificial undertone, if I'm not mistaken it with some other scent but it's barely noticeable.
The coconut isn't as outstanding as I expected and I would describe it as a smooth floral (maybe orchid) scent with hints of vanilla mixed with something else... Maybe plum or boysenberry.

I'm wondering if the "plastic undertone" comes from a mix of (sweet) coconut, pomegranate and woody notes?

Overall I would recommend it since it's a nice perfume. Not sure it would fit anybody since it's intensive and special

I tried it on, walked around the shops, liked it, bought it happy!

Later at home I sprayed a sample on to paper and just couldn't believe it was the same perfume.

On my skin I get a musky coconut with nice humid climate flowers.

On paper it comes to me as very sweet familiar...what's that? Bubble gum!

If I had not tried this on clean skin and made my judgement that way I would of walked away really disliking what turns out to be on my skin a very nice perfume.

Bottle is a disaster. not ergonomic and not as pretty as it might of been.
I can forgive bottles that aren't user friendly if they are beautiful but this looks cheap.

At first spray I loved it. I'm a fan of coconut and this was so much fresher than her other flankers which are way too syrupy for my taste. Unfortunately once the heart opened it morphed itself into another sugar bomb.

I feel deceived.

ETA: I saw a knockoff version of this by Diamond Collection and tried it out of curiosity. I actually like it better than the original, the staying power is better and it didn't go all syrupy. Go figure.

I do like this but longevity and projection is terrible! It's more like an impulse body spray' it's like spray, pouffe and it's gone!

I like the scent very much and it matches the bottle. If fuchsia pink had a smell, this would be it: sweet and sour, fruity, bold, intoxicating. So all the reasons to be terribly disappointed with its longevity. The strong beautiful opening is gone within minutes and in half an hour I have nothing left, or at least this is how my skin and nose render it. I would love to find a similar scent with slightly better lasting power, at least an hour or two.

Beyonce Wild Orchid smells exactly like FCUK Friction for her! It’s a very sweet tropical smell of coconut, spun sugar, and vanilla. In my opinion Wild Orchid is not nearly as complex as the notes listed, because I do not detect any pomegranate or boysenberry and Orchid is actually in the vanilla family. I got this for a great price and the bottle is beautiful! Win-Win!

Mmmm...boysenberries with coconut...sexy amber, orchid, and a hint of woodsy musk. This is sweet without being cloying or too candied (which I can only take in small doses). This is sexy and tropical---but it lasts much longer than a fruity body mist and is a sexy-tropical, not a "I want to drink this boozy beverage" sort of way. I actually really enjoy all of Beyonce's scents, they are sexy and fun. This one was really affordable, I think I picked it up for $10 in the half oz size at Fred Meyer. 1-2 sprays gets me 3-4 hours of wear and it's such a lovely heady smell that I don't want to overdo it with more. I think I'm going to try layering this with my Trader Joe's coconut body butter for a real tropical treat! A lot less linear than I had expected, for the money. I am quite pleased.

For something with such an intensive coconut note it's not as bad as I expected. But still I wouldn't wear this. Coconut makes fragrances too suffocating for me and here again it's hard for me to overcome that.

This fragrance reminds me of a bottle of Vanilla Fields that's been left out in the sun. Maybe I got a bad bottle. I'm on a mission to find a perfume that will layer with St. Ives Coconut Milk and Orchid Extract body lotion but Beyonce's Heat Wild Orchid is way too harsh for me. I bought this purely for the "love at first sight" orchid pink bottle, not because it is a celebrity creation. At first spray, however, the candy sweetness of the scent hooked me as memories of adolescent summer days filled my senses like a cotton candy chiffon broom sweeping away the present from my mind. This is the fragrance of innocence in heat -- a big flash of sweet, like a pop of juicy pink berry bubblegum in your face, then smoulders over the skin with a thick vanilla and coconut frosting flavor, but it really doesn't dry down, it lifts away from the body too soon. The orchid is there for mere moments, touching you as if like a first deep tongue kiss, very sticky, sweaty, messy, but gone, so quickly gone -- leaving only a scrape of sandalwood, a bare hint of musk that asks, "why?" Re-applying Wild Orchid HEAT adds to the confusion, and yet it teases so well. I noticed that it has staying power more on clothing than on skin. Just like the spill of cheap wine from those parties I used to attend when I first hit drinking age!

...so innocent. she is an adult woman.. i dont imagine her to wear something like this. it smells like something a 12 years old girl would wear! but it smells lovely...in a cute sweet way.

The dry down reminds me of Bond No 9's I love New York for All. It has the same delicious marshmallow/campfire of that fragrance.

Longevity is so poor that I can hardly smell anything after a few minutes. But If I'm lucky during those minutes, I can smell cheap, ordinary, sweetish fragrance. I can do without it.

Weird perfume. 1.It doesn't spray on my skin like liquid it sprays and sticks on my skin like hairspray so I cant do what I usually do with other perfumes: spray at one wrist then touch (never rub) my right wrist against it and distribute the perfume.
2. I don't smell any notes, it's quite flat, just one scent of sugary baked goods, car freshner or some sweet body lotion. As time goes by it doesn't change.
Don't hate it but i don't need it. I don't know why I bought it. It is quite warm so I will use again in the winter time. Not a spring time scent for me.

It smells enough like Gale Hayman Delicious Vanilla that I may just wait for the bath gel.
Update: I got the X-mas sale set and I find it plasticy, but the drydown is Ok. It has similarites to the Heat line, but has just a hint of Michel Germaine Tattoo or Mizrahi Fabulous. Do I smell a little Prada Candy? I smell Nicki Minaj Onika for sure!

hmmmm i don't know with this parfum... i smell some plastic in this one i want to love it but i do not :(

On first spray I get a fizzy bubblegum. A few minutes later it becomes a woody toffee smell. After thirty minutes its a toffeeish vanilla. It's nice and flirty. It's not a strong scent though, so don't expect fabulous silage etc.

Just bought this. I was really, really surprised to see that vanilla is not even listed in the notes. I totally agree with SillySue, this perfume smells mostly like vanilla.

I do detected a tangy smell (the pomegranate probably, or that boysenberry thing?)...but honestly I never owned a perfume with such a quick/gone opening...in 2 minutes, this smell was gone, and I all I could smell was vanilla...

I do not hate it but it won't become one of my favorites for sure...

I love coconut, I pick up lots of that in this fragrance! It also lasts quite a long time on my skin and is very affordable.

Sour skittles. I was completely in love with it at first. But it quickly worn off me. There's a slight synthetic smell to it. Plus, it doesn't work on cold days. :( Really gutted tough, now it's sitting on my shelf untouched. Maybe I should try this out again during the summer.

I don't quite know what to think about this one. Before trying it, just from reading the notes, I wanted it. Then I tried it in the store last week and was kind of disapointed. To me it smelled like a very plain vanilla fragrance, from start to finish. I can't detect any of the other notes. No coconut, no nothing. I thought it was decent enough but nothing special, so I took it off my 'want' list. Then today I had an appointment with my eyebrow-lady at the mall and just before entering her salon I passed by the department store and decided to give wild orchid another try. Pretty much the same experience as I had the first time around. However once I was sat in the chair at the salon my eyebrow lady couldn't stop gushing about the beautiful fragrance that was filling the room with my entrance. I couldn't smell anything at this point, but she sure could. And she absolutely LOVED it. I told her what it was and I'm pretty sure she at least will be purchasing a bottle after work. As for me, I'm still undecided but I have to admit, getting complemented on it increased my desire for it, even if I couldn't smell anything on my wrist. At least other people will love the way I smell. That's something, right?

I'm surprised how much I love this perfume. It's the best of Beyonce perfumes and a very cute fragrance. My only problem is the longevity and the strenght of it, otherwise it is worth the price, especially bc it is often on sale :)

Boysenberry for the sweet fruity kick, coconut for tropical yumminess and creamy aspect, and orchid and amber give off a chocolaty sensation (they often do on my skin when combined). Good enough for me!
Okay,... it might lack longevity/sillage but for the price it should not be too much of a deal breaker. I've tried many expensive mainstream fragrances as well as niche and honestly... some are even weaker than this.
If you enjoy young, sweet and fun fragrances then at least give Wild Orchid a try. To me it's the best one from Beyonce's Heat line.

I absolutely love the new addition to the Heat range! I am a fan of all the fragrances in the range, but this possibly could be my favourite one. 100ml is selling at £12.99 to £14.99 in Savers (UK retailer).

Smelled this just before Christmas in Boots (UK store) and absolutely fell in love. Beyonces perfumes can be hit or miss. LOVE heat rush, Carter World Tour was bought as a gift and has an uncanny resemblance to Britney Spears Curious. I find the original Heat wearable but very musky and flat out did not like Midnight. Wild Orchid wow! I fell in love as soon as I sprayed it. Superdrug is normally a fantastic retailer for Beyonce perfumes and they were selling the 100 ml for £20.00 but alas it seems to has disappeared :( I am trying to be patient and wait for it to start showing up on discount perfume sites. If not I will have to bite the bullet and pay the £38.00 that Boots is charging!

I think this is a nice coconut fragrance. It can last for 6/8 hours when you pair it with the shower gel and body lotion

Very sweet in the beginning, don't know if this is what orchids should smell like...drizzled in sugary syrup? I love gourmands but something isn't quite right about this...plus it was barely there after an hour.

I just don't like this. I have tried it so many times on my skin and it is so sweet and just plain boring for me. I cannot smell anything other than vanilla and sugar no orchid. I can smell berries but the generic kind. The berry smell just gets stronger and stronger mixing with the vanilla which is a little fluffy almost like I have spilled thick shake from Mc Donalds on my wrist. I just cannot handle it. I have tried and tried. The dry down at the end after a few hours is quite nice but I can't be bothered wrestling with it all the time before.

If you like sweet vanilla then this Heat edition may be more tolerable than the others. It reminds me a little of Cool Water Sensual Essence in the yellow bottle for the over the top sweetness that is just musky and annoying.

Loved the hot pink bottle I was waiting for her to release a Heat in that colour but sadly this edition and I are never going to get along:(

Just a celebrity fragrance launched for the purpose to increase the number of fragrances in the line. There's nothing ground breaking about it. Starts with candied fruit notes where sugar seems to wrap around fruits more than it should.

This scent is... even better than heat rush! Absolutely lovely, only downside is that it doesn't last too long, but that's just a reason to apply it more often haha xx

The scent is amazing. It smells so yummy and as soon as I smelled it I wanted to buy it. But I kept back since I know that the Heat line have terrible sillage. And I was right. After an hour or two the scent is barely detectable when I smelled my wrists. Such a shame. I wish there was a dupe for this scent that lasts longer since it makes me smell amazing. Sadly, I will not be purchasing this one.

Like the majority of reviewers, I agree about the Dreadful silage and longevity. I can barely detect after several sprays. It immediately fades. After 2 minutes, there's no scent of the skin, you need to re apply. Friends could not detect it either. No wonder you can pick the gift sets up so cheap. The. Scent itself is nothing to rave about. It smells like a shampoo , very bubblegum. I can't imagine Beyonce would wear this. She stated she loves the scent of orchids. I like orchids too, not bubblegum. I can only assume its another celebrity scent that was developed by someone else and endorsed by a celebrity name knowing it would sell because Beyonces a grown woman , not a child wanting to smell like a sweet shop .I knew this was different than Beyonce's other perfumes, this is what attracted me because I wasn't a fan of heat. It was to manly and heavy on me. I perfer something feminine, but this is more for a giggly teen. Should I long for this scent again, I'll just buy some Aussie shampoo

I enjoying smelling like lollies and fruity cocktails. I'm not enjoying smelling like polystyrene. On my skin this perfume disappears in a maximum of 1.5 hours but to it's credit I haven't gotten a headache from it yet. Cheap celebrity perfumes, the kind usually sold in pharmacies, are notorious for giving me headaches but this ones not too bad.

If anyone can direct me to a perfume that smells like this without the plastic I'd be extremely grateful.

Every single Beyonce fragrance smells ultra nice, the longevity is a stumbling point granted, but this smells so yummy. I get the coconuty/orchid vibe, very nice. I think classing it as an EDP is a little far fetched, EDT at best. A definite must for the price. All chemists seem to have this very cheap right now.

Reminds me a bit of Viva La Juicy, but i love it.

A very sweet powdery heavy grandma kind of scent. Did not like this one at all. Cheap and nasty.

I agree with lizzie81's review...a very cocoa powder scent, followed by coconut, orchids and varies fruity-florals.

A nice enough scent, I guess, but I can see the watered down milk chocolate people are getting.

An update on my review: If I could have an obbsesed option on here I would use it for this! I am a cherographer/dancer on my free time (not an abundance of money in that field in my area) and I always pick up this scent before going to the studio! It develops well on it own, but when it mixes with my movement and body heat it turns into the most beautiful carmel, vanilla cream ever! Great sillage and great longevity, I'll definitely pick up another when I run out!

Tested it today. On me it has good sillage and lasted 4-6h on me. I really like this so im gonna get a big bottle :)

This is by far, my favorite Heat flanker. It is actually nothing like any of the others; so much that I think Beyonce should have called it something else completely. I love coconut so I may be a little biased but the way it mixes with the orchid and berries is just gorgeous. It is sweet, but not sickening sweet. This is definitely the most unique in her line-up of frags and something I would repurchase.

I was sent a sample with my last perfume order and having not been inspired with some other celebrity perfumes I've tried I tentatively dabbed a couple of drops on my wrist as I went to bed.
Very sweet to start but not at all unpleasant. I was left with a rather lovely smell of orchid and possibly honeysuckle as I drifted off to sleep.
I didn't think I would like the fruity floral - having always been an Oriental floral fan - but there are some that are changing my view and this is one.
Longevity appears to be good as I could still smell it on my wrist in the morning.
I will be testing this one again and may purchase a full size bottle.

I have no idea what boysenberry smells like, but this perfume smells excactly like some sweet tropical coctail. I usually don't like those sweet tropical fruity scents, but this is kind of okay because of orchid and magnolia.
Usually Beyonce represents grown-up feminity, but this perfume is more girly than womanly.
It's sweetness and tropical notes remind me of many Escada's scents.

To me this is the most appealing fragrance in the Heat and Pulse lines so far, as the sweetness isn't as sickly and the floral notes are more developed on me, in comparison to the other Heat and Pulse fragrances.


I've been after a perfume with a long note of coconut in and Wild Orchid is the creamiest one I've found so far - It lasts through the top and heart, into the base.

The coconut entwines nicely with the boysenberry. The fruits are sweet, but not too sweet like they are in the earlier Heat editions, so this fragrance is easier to wear and not too summery. In short the fruits are nicely done.

Floral wise; the honeysuckle is the easiest to pick out on myself and I can also pick out the listed magnolia. The strongest floral on me is something that is very similar to violet, just a bit more 'fizzy'. Is this is what 'butterfly orchid' is? I really like it, whatever it is.


Rise is still the most adult fragrance in the Beyoncé collection, so that is the one I'm most likely to buy - but Wild Orchid is a close second, and I'm likely to pick up a bottle in the near future (most celeb scents by big companies dramatically lower in price online a few months after release)...

This reminds me of Rihanna's first perfume mixed with meow. Too caramelley sweet for me.

Just picked this one up at a steal on Ebay, and I have to say I was super surprised at the first spray. This is actually a really solid scent. VERY fruity and floral opening, almost a clean scent but very sweet/fruity. I can smell the "low lying" coconut in the top notes, and as the fragrance dies down on me it does warm up a tad bit spicy. The dry down and settle on me reminds me of something else, upon thinking about it the SWEET dry down before the spicy is almost a SUGARY dry down. EXACTLY like "MEOW" by KATY PERRY, so I see a major similiarty there, Also a reminder of Bath and Body works' "FOREVER MIDNIGHT". As far as the "coconut", the only "Coconut" scent's I have are Sarah Jessica Parkers - PURE CRUSH which is PURE coconut, and I feel some resemblance to that, but the top notes in WILD ORCHID override the coconut to a nice floral that's just the right amount of sweet. I don't detect ANY of the original "HEAT" nor do I pick up any of the flankers (Rush, Ultimate Elxir, Midnight, or Mrs.Carter Edition) so I think this one stands well on it's own. Longevity I haven't noticed yet, seems to wear down quick, but I still would give this a solid 3 of 5.

the top notes smells like a toned down Plum of Midnight Fantasy, but the rest of the notes really worked together well... I can still smell the presence of the orchid over those powerful top notes, overall this is the only sweet summer perfume Beyonce has released.
Its also hard to wash off...

This perfume is very different from the other Heat fragrances. It's called Wild Orchid but in my opinion it doesn't smell like orchid at all! It smells more like bubblegum and candy to me. It's very nice, not my favorite Heat fragrance though, Heat Rush remains. This perfume is a real must have though, I love it!

Loved the bottle and the notes, but after the initial Fantasy-like opening all I could detect was the smell of burnt plastic and sugar.

The best Heat flanker in a while in my opinion.

This is very pink when it opens. Sultry, sweet and inviting pink berries. It reminds me of a fruity cocktail. The coconut and orchid adds a lovely tropical vibe. When it dries it becomes slightly woodsy with more coconut then berries at this stage.

I love this. I find it very feminine and very pretty. It's a great all rounder. The fruits work wonderfully now it's summer but I sense the more woodsy base would blossom more in the winter.

Sillage on this is pretty decent and it lasted around 5 hours on me. I will definitely be purchasing this.

Just got this today and this is a sweet treat of a fragrance! I get a bit of the coconut with a lot of pomegranate and amber. But something that's not here that I can definitely smell is a touch of vanilla. I haven't tried Twilight Woods, so I can't really comment on that. But this is a summer fragrance. It may do well in the winter (since I'm not someone who cares about the "right time to wear a fragrance") but something about Beyoncé's fragrances in the heat (no pun intended!). I don't know they just develop more! But one spray on my arm and I've instantly been wrapped up in this fragrance! Really enjoying this one :)!

Tried it today. Its actually quite nice. I should add im reviewing this based on my gf's skin as I knew coconut doesnt normally play out well on me (boohoo). But on her it is beautiful. First Beyonce I like. Gf is getting it for herself. Oh, first impression was "pina colada"! Minus the booz. Fun and flirty.

I just received this in the mail today. I have to say that I honestly really like this scent! I can understand why some people are less than enthused, but for a berry type of scent- this rocks! I adore the bottle,too.

Lots of notes yet a rather flat unimaginative flanker, still very much too sweet, too generic...well, no orchid I can detect, or it is drowned in the sugary vibe of this scent..
Obviously milking the Heat line. Nothing great there.

Not, a big fan of this perfume. Smells very generic and cheap. It was really disappointing because, all of the perfume notes listed, were very nice. I had high hopes for this perfume, but was let down big time. It smells like a chewing gum, that a little kid would be chewing. Also, the lasting power for this perfume is extremely poor. Spray it on, and can't even smell it a hour later. Unfortunately will not be using the perfume, but at least the bottle is very pretty! So, may just keep it because, of the bottle. Not a fan of the scent, but am a fan of the bottle.

This is a quite different to the original "Heat" - I think she should have changed the name. The original "Heat" was a spicy vanilla, this is a fruity floral. About the only thing they have in common is that they are sweetly edible. Still, I like this. It is sweet and fruity without being too cloying. The only problem is that it doesn't last very well on me - within about 2 hours it was basically gone. I have a sneaking suspicion that this might work better on a younger person but I'm over 40, I'm not dead! I'm wearing it anyway!

I just ordered this off eBay for $23.89! It hasn't come in yet, but I am excited to finally be able to get this since I still have not seen it in any stores as of yet. I will update when it arrives.

I managed to get a bottle of this before it's release! It is a nice sweet smelling scent. Reminds me of raspberry cookies. Doesn't last long though but might be the heat

I'm so excited about this....I can't wait to test it out....I love, love, love, orchid and boysenberry....this sounds like a lovely composition :)

I am definitely going to get this soon as it hits stores! I love all her perfumes!
